Did not get what the images show
I wanted the black and silver one just like in the images advertised, that go with my wok I got from Healthy Legend. But I received a brown pan that is not at all what I thought I was buying. I am still trying to get all of my refund back.

Great product
I replaced my Teflon 12 inch chicken fryer with this fry pan. So much better than the Teflon pan. Nothing sticks and clean up is a breeze. You will not regret getting this pan. I also purchased the 11 pc. set. Love all that I have. Worth the money spent.

Highly recommend this cookware
Maybe I can save somebody some time. I spent many hours researching eco-friendly, nonstick cookware, reading what seemed like hundreds of reviews. I settled on the Healthy Legend line and purchased 12-inch and 8.5-inch frying pans. I have been using them for at least four months and am very happy with them. I have used the larger pan almost daily and have noticed no deterioration in the cooking surface. Eggs, pancakes, hamburgers, etc. cook uniformly and slide off the pan, which is easy to clean with plain water and a plastic scrub brush. Occasionally I will use a small amount of dish soap, but this usually seems like overkill. The only reasons I did not rate this purchase five stars is:1) The two pans and lids are different styles and do not match. Not a big problem, I just like the look of matching pans and had assumed they would match. Any difference was not obvious on the site, nor was I aware of different "lines" or models. (I purchased these through the company's site.)2) I received no instructions for the care or use of the pans, other than a brief description on how to screw on the knobs for the lids. I know from reading the various reviews that it is best to avoid washing these in a dishwasher, and best to use plastic utensils and not metal, but it seemed odd.I believe that because the company is located in Germany, they must have found a third-party vendor in the U.S. to resell the pans. While it was a convenience to use PayPal, and the price was right, I wouldn't have minded paying a few more dollars to receive matching pans and instructions.Update, 3/2/2014: I have been satisfied with these pans since purchasing except for one issue that popped up after a couple of months. I noticed a strange, plastic-y odor after heating the pan medium or medium-high, but not consistently. This was very troubling until I finally figured out that this occurred after using coconut oil in the pan. Apparently, I wasn't cleaning it thoroughly enough afterward, and there was enough residue to create this strange odor during subsequent use. Also, it was noticeably harder to clean the pan with this apparent residue there. Since then I have not used oil (just butter or nothing) and there is no more odor, and the pan cleans fairly easily, although I do have to use soap.Having said that, since then I have purchased Sur La Table's eco-friendly smaller frying pans and have found them superior as they clean quite easily with only hot water and are prettier looking with different-colored handles. They don't make a pan as large as the Healthy Legend pan, so I still use that when needed.

Germain Weilburger Coating? I doubt it...
I'm glad to hear there are people out there who like this pan. Personally, I cannot trust it and there is no way I would ever risk cooking on it.I received the 8" fry pan as a gift after selecting it for my wishlist. I was excited to get it until I started looking over the packaging. There is NO country of manufacturer listed. There is NO manufacturer address listed. There are lots of too small to read logos and claims of tests done.I visited the manufacturer's web site and called the 800 number. A gentleman with an Asian accent answered "Hello?" as if he was answering his home telephone number. I asked him where it was made. He claimed the parts came from Turkey and the pan is made in Hungary. I told him I did not believe the coating was genuine and that I needed proof. I don't think he understood what I meant and said he would email test results. Well, I never got them. Plus if this is a genuine coating, I would expect there would be some type of certification from Weilburger that I could look at. I don't believe it exists. My personal opinion is the product is manufactured in China using a knock-off version of the Weilburger coating. It is being sold as genuine when it is not. I'm not a lawyer, but I thought false advertising claims were illegal in the US. Let's not support dishonest manufacturers. T-Fal has a similar ceramic 8-inch pan for less money, but no lid. Even if the T-Fal is made in China it would be a better bet because at least it's not starting with a dishonest manufacturer.

These pans are excellent, especially for the price!
These are our favorite pans. I think we now have them in just about every size they offer. We have had them for about 9 months. They are very easy to clean. If you come across something that doesn't seem like it wants to come off, (like when my husband sautes peppers on high heat) don't bother scrubbing hard. Wash off the general stuff, then take when of the white eraser pads that mr clean sells. At most grocery stores. You have to put a little elbow behind it, but not much. It will wipe most of it right off. No scratches. We had 2 pans show up with some slight inconsistencies in the coating from the manufacturering process. The seller was wonderful and did an immediate exchange.

Best ceramic coating and good pan for everyday cooking
I found the Healthy Legend Cookware with the German ceramic coating work the best and no toxic coating to worry about. The German ceramic coating is very strong. I guess it will last 3 to 4 times longer than traditional Teflon coated pan with no health hazard. Teflon is known to cause cancer. Stainless steel pans are not 100% stainless stell, they have 3% nickle in their metal to make them shinny and the some nickle has unknown health effect. I would recommend this Healthy Legend fry pan to anyone as it is the best. Just a reminder, do not overheat it or forgot to turn off the stove and burned it. The coating will not flake off but the non-stick will become more stick but still better than uncoated pan.
