Monin - Orange Flavored Syrup, Plastic Bottle (1 liter)

After we caved and bought a soda stream, I did some research on which brand was GOOD but also AFFORDABLE. Cue: "Monin".It's 12/22, and I just checked my order history. Since 05/18, my Amazon history shows 23 Monin orders.I buy 2-3 bottles at a time, which last us 3-4 months, at a guess.Most flavors will get 5 stars (we have purchased all of these MULTIPLE times):- Lemon- Lime- Orange- Blood Orange- Mandarin Orange- Orange Tangerine- Exotic Citrus1-star:- Sugarcane Cola- Ginger- Cucumber- Lemongrass- Watermelon"huh I don't remember buying these":- Passion Fruit- Ruby Red Grapefruit- PomegranateI'm probably not the best person to write these reviews, because I don't like bubbly water. My husband is the main consumer. I asked him to rate the Monin syrups, and he said he had no complaints. As you can see from the list above, he basically likes citrus.The PROBLEM is that I get bored buying the same old lemon- lime- orange over and over again, which is why I keep flirting with Blood Orange, Orange Tangerine, and Mandarin Orange. Honestly, those are all fine. But the day I ordered Lemongrass ... oh man. "What??? It has LEMON in the name!!!" I -still- have not lived it down.I also was the proponent behind the purchases of Ginger, Watermelon, and Cucumber, all of which I really enjoy. I was hoping to get some interesting boost of flavor to make my (plain) water more interesting. Instead I got SUGARSUGARSUGAR plus the aforementioned flavors. The Watermelon in particular just tasted SO bad: really artificial and way too sweet. My chef neighbor had warned me that she had never come across a good watermelon flavor, generally speaking; I was optimistic, but I was wrong. Gave it away in my Facebook Buy Nothing Group ... and that's saying something, considering I gritted my teeth through the Ginger and the Cucumber.I'm a bit perplexed by the Ruby Red Grapefruit, Passion fruit, and Pomegranate. I have no real memory of buying these; they were definitely one-and-done. Probably nothing super offensive about them, but I got scared of trying new flavors and reverted to the safe-and-sound lemon/ lime/ orange.- AM SIL

This is one of the better Monin flavors available.I was expecting a candy orange like flavor. However, this is closer to tasting like real orange juice. Tastes great with soda water.If I want more of a candy orange flavored soda similar to Orange Crush soda, I use 1 pump of orange and 3 pumps of sweetener instead of 4 pumps of the orange syrup to make 1 cup of soda.For orange cream soda, I use 1 pump of orange, 2 pumps of vanilla syrup, and 1 pump of sweetener.

The media could not be loaded. I love the Monin syrups but this was just received damaged. Please send new one not damaged.

Color of this syrup is very light. It has no color and very clear. Also orange smell is ok. I think the color is more mature compare to other brand that uses a lot of dyes. I use it in my restaurant and it’s too light, but if you use it at home it’s a good choice.

Adding to sparkling water or LaCroix orange in attempt to make our own orange soda without excess additives. It's ok; has a natural orange-oil bitterness unlike the candy sweet orange flavor of commercial orange sodas which we were actually trying to replicate. It's pretty good but missing a sweeter, fruity note.

Fast delivery, delicious in soda water and for cocktails!

Maybe I just got a bad bottle, but this was extremely bitter. To avoid the bitterness, I had to use so little that there was no orange flavor! The label said it had cane sugar in it, but it had no sweetness at all.

The taste is good but it is way overpriced I found another orange syrup for way cheaper and taste the same
