This is a REALLY nice fitting!
Purchased in Jan 2021 and finally just used it (July 2022) and worked great for the intended purpose. It is a very industrial quality, heavy brass fitting; I was impressed. Two good quality gaskets and a locking "star" washer and brass nut are provided - it does not leak and I only used one gasket on the inside. The threaded side (hole to drill) is 1-1/8" nominal diameter. For my application, I purchased an extra whole house filter (WHF) housing on Amazon for about $50 for the purpose of drilling a hole in the bottom of the "sump" part and installing this fitting. The municipal well water I have is very expensive and very nasty - full of iron and chemicals and is very hard water. You must have a softener and ahead of that, a WHF to catch the "chunks" to protect the softener. I do not cook with or drink this water, except for that plumbed to, and coming out of, the 3-Stage Reverse Osmosis system which is as good as bottled water. This is the main line coming to the house and it is impossible to purge the gunk that builds up ahead of the filter - from the street supply to the filter. Also, cleaning the head of the filter housing of this gunk was impossible. By shutting off the feed and the outfeed of the softener (so I do not blow too much junk into it - would be better to have a shutoff between the filter and softener, but I don't have that yet). Installing this unit with a hose then turning on and off the supply (outfeed of softener closed) to purge. You can see the water comes out looking like black coffee. After about 30 trips to dump the large "pail" in the picture, I finally just ran a long hose to my utility sink and ran it for about 10 minutes until it came out clear. I hope this idea helps someone who has this same issue so they can purge their lines when they change WH filters. BE AWARE the "big blue" housings can have different THREAD TYPES - some are square threads (Google "Acme thread") and others are sharp like a typical bolt thread - they are NOT compatible. ALSO... if you are adding a WHF housing, BEWARE of big box store "low cost" versions - if you look inside they might choke down from 1" to 1/2" and you will lose a lot of flow (drop in water pressure/volume) - you will get a little drop from the filter element (paper/sediment filter). Get a "FULL FLOW" WHF that is full diameter in/out and internal passages. When in doubt, get a real "Big Blue" housing. And, YES! This fitting is awesome! TO BE CLEAR: This housing can NO LONGER BE USED WITH A FILTER - as you can see from drilling for the fitting in the photos - it is STRICTLY for purging the gunk out. You must be careful not to crack the housing; otherwise there is risk of it shattering under pressure and you should ALWAYS slowly increase and decrease pressure with the feed valve. The hole must be perfectly centered and I recommend starting with a step-drill to open it up to the diameter you need. Thanks!

Evaporative Cooler Drain
Works well as an Evaporative Cooler Drain. Seals tight. The Dial Mfg overflow pipe screws in to the female side of this fitting properly and seals. Now maybe I can quit replacing the Dial plastic fittings.Well cut threads, a sturdy nut and good tight gaskets.

Threading: straight, not tapered NPT female, but is 14 tpi and accepts male NPT
This review is for the "Joywayus 1/2" Female 3/4" Male Soild Brass Water Tank Connector Theaded Bulkhead Fitting", which came in a bag marked with Joyway US part number X0022DKLFD. I bought this fitting to use in a custom hot water reservoir tank with immersed heat exchanger coils. I plan to use these as the end points of the heat exchanger coils, which will carry potable water at about 45 psi.The interior threading is threaded to 14 threads per inch (tpi), with an inner diameter of about .752", but the thread is *not* tapered as per a normal national pipe thread (NPT) used on brass or copper plumbing, or on iron pipe. It's a straight thread, so this inner diameter will be measured at each end of the part. A standard 14 tpi tapered 1/2" NPT male fitting will engage about .265" using only hand strength (finger-tight). I hope that teflon tape and pipe dope might allow this to seal sufficiently for normal domestic water pressure use.See photos for measured dimensions.

Great quality bulkheads!
This bulkhead adapter is exactly 1 & 1/4 inches in OD Diameter with a ID thread of 3/4 inch NPT. Perfect fit for me! The fitting came quickly & arrived with no damage to the item box/part. The brass was clean/free of debris. The seals are cut from thick rubber. One thing to note is always verify the listing to for proper fitment. I ordered many incorrect sizes before finding this one which has easy to read measurement pictures. Good value as well.Pros:-Item was not damaged or defective-arrived quickly-good quality seals & threading-proper measurements mentioned in the description-fair priceCons:None

Perfect bulkhead fitting for our GHT Spigot just installed.
Installed towards lower part of drum and sits perfect for our GHT Spigot. I placed a red arrow pointing to the Bulkhead Fitting. Blends well, was easy to install and certainly does the job.The way we attached this was the following:- Marked center of fitting on barrel with a perma marker- Used a hole-saw bit the same size as fitting to drill out the area- Fine sand paper to clear any burrs so that the fitting gaskets seat well (this is important for the fitting to work as intended)- Put 1 gasket on the bulkhead fitting and dropped it down into the drum. Then rolled the drum around slowly until the fitting fell into the hole cut.- Carefully held the fitting on the outside while installing outer gasket and nut- Finally, gently tightened down with a 10" adjustable wrenchWould highly recommend this particular fitting. We will be picking up more.

Does not list the Thread type s GHT or NPT.
Buyer beware, This thread is not NPT. Tried to fit a NPT threaded part and did not fit. Dealer please advise on fitting type of thread. This is a solid metal product did not cut my hand when handing it.

Well made brass fittings
The fittings are well made. No thread burrs and the male/female threads mate well and are adequately tight. The male and female threads are straight cut so tapered pipe thread fittings with PTFE tape tighten nicely. The rubber washers included are soft and while they may be ok for some installations I made some thick fiber reinforced vibram washers for my installation which is a cooling tank for a big stationary engine. No leaks of 200F glycol in my case. They are a bit pricey up in Canada but worth the $ and would buy again.

Very odd threads
So yes the outside thread seems like 1 NPT but it is non tapered and is probably at the outer tolerance of NPT diameter, there for it will not fit in other female NPT metal fittings and may fit in plastic female treads, but I would not thread metal male into plastic female. Did not check the internal treads to verify what they are. The item was returned.

Super fast shipping.
Perfect for my rain barrels. Little big think 3/4 by 1/2 would of been plenty but should do.
