Great book!! I loved to read the background in the old newspapers that Kay and her sister have in the book. After I get planned wedding quilts I have waiting to be made done and given away, I plan to use some of the patterns in my next projects.

My recent purchase of Fancy to Frugal: Authentic Quilt Patterns from the '30 is a wonderful book detailing where the quilt pattern originated from, but new interpretations of the block. I really like the patterns and plan to make at least three of the quilts with my stash of 30's prints. Wonderful book that doesn't disappoint!

I made the cover quilt a few weeks ago, and received many compliments on it. I devised my own method of turning and sewing the blades together because the directions said "use your favorite method for applique". I enjoyed making it.

I thought this was for one print and different ways of sewing it together. Instead to my delight it was different quilts and the patterns, to use. I would recommend this to anyone that loves sewing quilts. and or quilting.

Traditional style quilts from the depression years, brought up to date for modern quilters, from anyone with basic beginner skills to quilters looking for a challenge. As nice to browse through as for the patterns, it has rotary cutting directions for those quilts that can be made by this method, and .pdf link to download and print templates from.

This is an excellant 30s Book,to add to my collection. Making May flower now.Everything explained to make quilting so easy.
