As an ex problem drinker I still crave at least a mild feeling from something. I noticed this had a lot of ingredients of herbs I know work and some I haven't tried. The relaxation feeling is pretty strong for a tea, it even has a bodily relaxation feeling to it. One thing I will mention it's also a sleepy type of relaxing so if you're not using this to sleep don't take if you're already tired. The combination of different herbs with different feelings makes the blend have it's own feeling that's a combination of all those things. If you're in recovery I'm sure your sponsor wouldn't care if you drank this, it can be a good coping technique when you have cravings.

A couple people might have realized that the flavor has drastically changed. So far I have just purchased my third bag and I'm very concerned. I depend a lot on the medicinal properties of this tea but I also enjoy it a lot for its flavor and aroma. Recently after purchasing my third bag and opening it up I immediately knew something was wrong. Right away I was hit with a strong waft of a sweet baked candy kind of smell. Now the smell itself is not very displeasing and I can see why they would give the okay with adding it to the tea. But between the existing flavor of the other ingredients it just doesn't work. The smell is to strong and the sweetness doesn't meld with the existing pleasant mild flavors (think a nice grassy chamomile). It isn't undrinkable, and I believe I will continue to drink the rest of the bag for its effect, but I really can't see myself buying a fourth bag with the exiting flavor. There may be a few people who find it pleasant but the flavor to much and it takes away from the "relaxing" experience of the tea, which as far as I can see is the whole point. As far as I was concerned I was going to keep buying this tea till I died, but I guess it't only a matter of time before things change. I would be happy to remove this review if it was ever confirmed that the added natural flavoring would be removed.tldr: They changed the flavor and it's bad. Works great, not great taste. Please change it back I need to be able to drink this tea.

I’ve been using “Happy Camper” for months for mild stress and love it but was looking for something a little stronger for times of extreme stress. “Strong Stress” DEFINITELY did the job! The flavor is mild but the effects are anything but—I drank my first cup after a super stressful day, and after about 20 minutes I felt my muscles relax and was able to unwind and enjoy my evening. I’ve had 3 cups of Strong Stress now and have had extremely soothing results. So happy to add Strong Stress to my Modest Earth collection!

I like the herbs. However, the description does not mention any flavor in the ingredients and honestly it tastes like cough syrup/pepto bismol flavor. Bleh! On the packaging itself, the very last ingredient is “Natural Flavor”. As a person who likes to keep things as pure and original to their nature as possible (Organic being the reason I bought this), this rubbed me the wrong way. A fan of the herbs and the blend, not a fan of being misled, whether intentional or not. And definitely not a fan of the flavor! Hence docking two of the stars. I will not buy again. Next time I’ll buy the herbs separately and make my own blend.

I needed a tea that would help me to relax and relieve stress and come across this blend quite by accident on Amazon. I tried it last night and found it to be most effective. I slept deeply, to be sure. The only thing I would say though is that the package indicates to use one teaspoon of the tea to about 12 ounces of hot water. Evidently there is a good reason for this. I used 2 teaspoons to ensure a good nights sleep. It was a bit too much. I will say that this is an excellent product and it appears my sleeplessness is at an end. I am very pleased. Thank you.

Wowza. Where do I start?Package arrived on time and was properly sealed.. Looks pretty decent.The smell was overwheeeelming!!! Oof wow (in a good way).It tasted pretty good without sweeteners (if you're used to herbal tea). It doesn't smell great though haha so beware.The feeling? Well..... halfway through my first cup I thought this was like weed tea or something haha (yes, I was sober beforehand) It is really potent and makes you feel very relaxed so just beware how much you use vs how much you weigh. I can totally understand why it's branded under "anti-anxiety tea."This tea changed my life concerning tea bags vs loose leaf - I'm never going back to tea bags!!! They say this stuff is organic on the back of the packaging and it seems like pretty good quality to me, so I can't complain.I wrestled whether or not I should buy this for a week or more haha but it's safe to say I'll be ordering more when I run out.Don't hesitate, buy it now!! I was doubtful about the potency of this tea as I have tried so many products. This really works, and my anxiety gets very severe at times. It is mild tasting tea, easy to drink, leaves you a little sedated but also very peaceful. Even for clinical anxiety, I believe this is surprisingly effective.

The ingredients stated in the description and product pictures are incorrect. I would not have bought this tea if I knew there was licorice root in it. I am incredibly disappointed. I will not buy from Modest Earth again as they are unreliable.
