Fuerza Mens Winter Down Wellon Hooded Heavy Duty Parka Jacket Coat

So I've had this coat for less than a week now. I bought it with intentions to use this coat while I do field work surveying and staking at points along the railroad in the bushes and vines during the wintery cold. My old coat I've had since high school and has been doing the job just fine with a similar build quality (goose down instead, same exterior material, etc) I must say, this coat impresses me tremendously! It keeps me very warm without the need to layer up in 12 degree Fahrenheit weather (the coldest it's been since I've had the coat). Very warm, very practical. The hood has this thing that wraps around your forehead which comes in handy, the coat is longer than I expected, and Fuerza even threw in a neat little face mask that works amazingly!Now for the reason I gave this amazing coat 3 stars instead of 5. I subtracted for each hole that has since formed. First day the coat arrived in the mail, I stepped out in the frigid Chicago cold just to test it out while I run a few errands. As I walk back into my apartment, a piece of metal weather-stripping sticking out of my door frame snagged my sleeve and left a rip. I figured this was more so my fault for not noticing this metal before hand and refused to blame the coat since that metal would have probably torn into my skin if I had hit it. Though no other coat I own has ever snagged that thing in the 5 years I've lived here, I covered it with some tape and moved on about my day highly upset that my $160 coat is already ripped on the first day, kicking myself. But then I decide to put this coat to the ultimate test and take it with me to the field. After one day of walking through a heavily wooded area along the train tracks, my co-worker noticed a tear on the back of the coat. Finished the day, took a look when I removed the coat, certainly there's another tear exposing the white fluffy stuff underneath. So now I'm going to need to questions this coat manufacturer. Like I said, the coat I've had since high school has not only been through my rough outdoor past, working on cars in the cold, and many other things that could more acceptingly destroy a coat, but it's also been in these same woods and not yet has a tear formed on that downed coat! I only paid about $80 for that coat and it came with a matching vest. I was expecting this coat that costs twice as much to do the same or better job, but it has certainly failed me here and sadly I am not happy with the product.So I've come to the conclusion that this coat does not have a strong shell and you need to be very, very, very, cautious about purchasing this coat as you will get a tear if you're only a little rough with it. I'm sure the corner of your car door could rip this thing if you're not careful. In my opinion, that's not acceptable since this coat does make you wider than you're used to being. In my life only one other coat has torn on me and it was leather on a chain-link fence. Totally my fault for walking so close to the fence. Just throwing that in there to give you an idea of how careful I usually am with my coats/jackets, I'm not just some clumsy customer typing an angry comment.I'm honestly hoping for a response from the seller as I'd like to know if they sell a thicker shelled version even if it's a different material. I want to love this coat and this company, I really do, it has everything I need in a winter coat, except strength. But for now, this coat will just eventually become a shredded mess that keeps me warm. Not "Heavy Duty" like the title suggests.

Jacket was a little tight for my husband, but was able to return and exchange for a larger size with no problems. Customer service is extremely helpful and quick. The jacket itself is very warm, comfortable, and it covers a good amount of bodily real estate (i.e., down to the hips). Would highly recommend this product and this company!

Excellent. ...I bought it optimistically and it truly yielded my anticipated results..it can withstand even the coldest regions of the north pole...snugs and protects very well in extremely frigid weather....

It really deserves a 4+. I haven't been able to use it in the coldest weather yet, or use it enough to determine it's durability so I did not give it a 5 rating. It looks good, feels good, fits good, plenty of pockets, and good body coverage. It should do the job. Later on I hope to change my rating to 5.

I'm very unhappy with this purchase. I should have known better than to buy clothing online where I can't touch and feel it first. This coat is advertised as a heavy duty parka. No it's not. This coat is very thin and not as insulated as I was led to believe. I'm very disappointed.

I really like this coat. Not only that it is a warm coat but also has a nice feel to it. It's nice, comfortable, and a stylish winter coat that actually fits perfectly but be sure to go with your waist size when you choose your selection becuase the coat fits absolutely to the size that you ordered and there's no play room unless you are thinner than I am and am not the big at all. Am 5'4" so I reordered a Large. :-)

The jacket is very warm. It is best to wear as an everyday jacket vs.a ski jacket since it does not have underarm vents.
