PureColor Eco-Friendly Wood Stain, Interior & Exterior EvenGrain Stain, Non-Toxic Stain, 1 Quart, Silver Nickel

On oak this looks beautiful, more true to it's intended color, but on pine it leaves a color that is way more red than brown (see pic...bench seats were pine), so keep that in mind when buying. I loved the fact it had little to no odor and cleaned easily off my hands with soap and water. Prep the wood properly before staining, using a wood conditioner, and the stain will take evenly and beautifully. The fact it is non-toxic made me feel safer using it on a butcher block top that I made into a kitchen table that my kids will be eating off of, and it looks like any minwax or other oil-base you'd use. I put it on light and sanded it to achieve the look I was going for. Highly recommend and will use again for future projects!

We are a custom finishing shop. Looking for a water-based stain that was easy to use, minimal grain raise, and dries fast: we ordered the charcoal stain for a customer requesting this color. The stain far exceeded our high expectations for clarity, uniformity, speed and ease of application. From now on we will use only PureColor EvenGrain Stain for our stain jobs.

 Holy Stain Power, Batman! I'm tickled green over this amazing stain. It comes in a bag with a screw cap so you put what you want to use in a cup and store the rest safely in the bag. There is no scent at all and it was absorbed wonderfully into the wood. You put it on and wait until it is as dark as you want it to be, then just wipe off the excess. I can't say enough good things about this stain. Keep in mind that the longer you keep it on the darker it will get. I covered this stain with their PureShield PureColor's PureShield Protect (Stain-in-a-Box), Interior Acrylic Brushable Wood Finish Clear Coat, Sheen 45, 1 quart, Semi-GlossI found this stain to be very forgiving.

It doesn't look quite as good as oil based stain, but it was very easy to apply and there were no fumes. Also, it dried enough to walk on within minutes. I used Bona Mega to finish it and the stain looks much better after being finished. The Bona Mega has similar characteristics regarding drying time and fumes. I'd recommend the combo of the two products to anyone who doesn't like the oil based fumes.

Using color #95, Concerta, I stained two pieces, a International Concepts Solano Sofa Server Table and a International Concepts Bombay Media Center both made from solid unfinished parawood. Unfinished the parawood looks like pine and stained like pine. Based on the product description I was expecting a more transparent stain. One coat was taken up almost completely by the wood leaving a streaky look so I followed with a second, wiping up the excess with an old cotton sock. Wearing the sock on my hand I was able to rub the second coat uniform. The color seems true to the picture. After the stain was completely dry I oiled both pieces with coconut oil. There were NO fumes. This was greatly appreciated as was the easy cleanup. Overall a good expereince.

Had a friend stain my home made spice cabinet. I have MCS and cannot be near most stains or paints. My friend really thought he would have to do it and let it off gas a few weeks and than bring it to me. He was shocked that there was no after smell at all. SO WAS I...... THANK YOU Eco-Friendly PureColor. Sure wish it was not so hard to find products this safe but thank God there is some.

Very happy with this stain. The customer service was also exceptional. We used the stain to refinish our dining room table, chairs, and a bench. The color took nicely. It has been several months now and it is looking vibrant -- just what we wanted. We tried several colors before finding the one we wanted. The company rep was super friendly and helpful. They sent us some small samples quickly when we needed them. I would recommend this product and company to anyone. One of the most important issues to us was that we wanted stain that was not loaded with harmful chemicals and filled our house with stink while working with it -- this stain was perfect -- easy clean up, almost no smell when applying (smelled like water), and quick drying. We feel good knowing our little girls are eating and living on surfaces without toxic chemicals. It would have been faster to find stain at the local hardware store, perhaps, but this stain was well worth it. Excellent product. Excellent surface. Life friendly.

I really pondered over purchasing this because I was worried about having to return it and it’s kinda pricey but I’m so glad I did and plan on buying more colors for my wood working craft business. It is so easy to apply, dries super quick and absolutely no nasty chemical smell! I highly recommend this product. It went on so easily and I barely had to use any, it should last a long time. I made this wooden box with one coat of the weathered brown. I personally will never use regular stain again!
