Works well, for my needs (RV Garage Lights)
I bought this, as I installed an LED light bar, under my RV loft bed, for my wife's mobile office on our RV. I needed a way to dim that light bar and turn it on/off. This does the trick. The dimming feature works ok, but I didn't buy it for that.I think this would be a good product for any application.

Square Peg, Round Hole
Nearly returned the darn things after I couldn't get them to turn on. After some testing with other electronics, I realized that the plastic around the female socket was preventing the rectangular male socket from plugging all the way in. After a couple minutes of bending the soft plastic of the female plug, I was able to the the lights all the way in.I haven't tested the longevity of the product or the timer feature, but at first glance the dimming and on/off features work nicely and without line-of-sight to the plug on the balcony above our patio.

The Edison retro look is exciting.
I love these lights. They surpassed my expectations. My wife likes to turn them on in the morning to see out the window in the evening too. I like that you can dim the lights, put them on a timer, increase or decrease the brightness. The Edison retro look is exciting. They seem very durable.I had some misgivings about the bulbs and one of them just disappeared one day to somewhere.I thought maybe a squirrel took it But I found some replacement bulbs and ordered them and now the set is complete again. The ambience is very nice. I think I will enjoy them in the spring of next year. We had an early snow today so no sitting outSide.I recommend these lights

Dimmer works with LED Cafe Lights from Costco
I purchased the outdoor café light sets-LEDs from Costco-2 sets. The dimmer works well with these lights--especially like the ability to dim down to candle like light; The dimmer comes with 2 remotes. I did have a problem with one of the remotes-it did not work. The remotes are not very durable; Seller did not respond to my request to obtain a replacement remote. The one still works but I wanted a backup. Love the dimmer features.

Lasted 1.5 yrs
Waited to write review. Worked well with costco led string lights that required a grounded plug (3 prong). Loved full brightness all the way down to barely on. Remote worked well. Left it outside and plugged in for last 1.5 yrs. Now not working. No power passes through. Will probably order new version.

Does not remember last dimness/brightness setting
This has been a great addition to our string of outdoor LED lights. It has a great range of settings and automatic pre-sets, but it doesn't remember the last setting you had it on when it is turned off. So, you won't be able to set a dimness or brightness that you would prefer and leave as your default. Instead, you will have to turn it on and dim it down or brighten it up to where you want it each time you turn it on.A feature that would be nice is for it to have a 24 hour timer that could be set to turn the lights on and off based on a preset timer.

Works and works great, with unexpected polish.
Finally an outdoor dimmer! This thing exceeded my expectations. Works perfectly with my 50ft FEIT led string lights from Costco.Pros:- RF remote so no need to worry about pointing it anywhere- perfect dimming on Costco LEDs by Feit- remote settings very well thought out. Preset dimming levels in addition to expected plus/minus. Auto-shut off on preset timer via remoteUnexpected extras:-Little red LED in remote where it emitter would normally be indicating that its working when you press a button, nice touch-dimming is smooth, not obnoxious steps. If you hit the 25% button it dims down in a smooth gradient. This also includes turning it on and off .Potential negatives:- Proprietary RF remote so if you break it or lose it you will never find a replacement. All in all this significantly exceeded my expectations given the price point. I will buy a second one in case anything happens to the remote.

DANGEROUS - not grounded!
This has a 3-prong plug that is NOT grounded. This can be a serious problem if you plug something into it that is expecting a ground connector. This is misleading at worst and could...without hyperbole...be a fire or shock hazard. Internally the 3rd prong in not connected to anything. It's really a 2 wire cord disguised as a 3 prong. There's also no way this is ETL listed so throw in a bit of false advertising too.It might work, but it also might kill you.

Buy CR2025 3 volt battery when you buy this
Bought this for our 48FT Outdoor String Lights, Ltteny Patio String Lights with 2W Dimmable Edison Vintage Plastic Bulbs Commercial Grade Weatherproof 15 Hanging Sockets for Patio Bistro Garden Backyard Cafe Porch Party to dim the lights around our bonfire area and the battery is dead right out of the box. Big thumbs down for that. Replaced battery and the dimmer seems to be working now. Will update once I get to use it more.

Surprisingly Good
Overall, I'm pretty happy with this purchase. The outdoor unit is fairly well-made and hefty, which gives me some confidence. It seems to be fairly water-resistant too. I wouldn't soak it in a pool, but for the occasional thunderstorm under an awning or eaves, it should be just fine. The remote is as expected. Not water-resistant at all, but it does its job and has shortcuts for brightness levels at 25% increments, timer functionality, and manual brightness adjustments in addition to the on/off buttons. Since it uses RF, the remote has to be pointed directly at the outdoor unit, which I don't consider a downside since it makes it much less likely something else might cause it to turn on.

Solution to the Powering ON/OFF by itself
Well I've had this unit for about 10 days and I also had the Powering ON by itself. Now after trial and error I found out what was triggering the dimmer. It has nothing to do with the remote. I tested it with the remote batteries out.The problem is my remote for my CAR. Every morning I would unlock my doors, and if I did it in a certain angle, pointing towards the backyar,my lights would turn ON. So it's most likely on the same frequency as my alarm remote.Pretty sure for the people who have this issue, if you test your remotes at home.. TV/CAR etc... one of the buttons will turn the dimmer ON or OFF.Anyhow, I'm replacing this with another model and see if I have the same issues with another brand because I don't want to have to check my yard everytime I leave in the morning to see if my lights turned on.
