4711Acqua Colonia Mandarine and Cardamom Eau de Cologne Spray, 5.7 Ounce

I love this as a mood-lifting spray after a shower or before bed. I've also combined it with sweeter citrus perfumes to give them a little more depth, which was lovely. The initial spray, still wet, is strongly like fresh orange peels. When it settles and dries, it becomes a dry citrus, more pith than juice. The only downside is that the cardamom doesn't come through very strongly--I love cardamom and I sneak it into every dish I think I can get away with it, but this has more of a generic dry spice quality; not distinct enough to identify it as anything in particular. It's pleasant, but not the strong cardamom smell I'd hoped for. Still worth a try, especially at a low price.

This fragrance is truly an amazing desk at this price point. Mandarin & Cardamom has a delicious juicy orange scent with a lot of complexity that you wouldn't expect given the name. The scent is not overly sweet or basic, it displays many facets of mandarin with just enough rind (think peel) and brilliant warmth from the cardamom. This fragrance is very unisex and versatile, clearly suited for warm weather but given the spices it could work in winter. For a cologne this one has excellent staying power, I'm getting a solid 5-7 hours on my skin which is better than many EDTs I've used. Projection is not amazing but you can always make up for that by using a few extra sprays. I'm still unsure about the sillage on this given the current covid situation as I haven't really been getting out much. Overall I'd say this fragrance is an 8/10 in general and 10/0 at this price point. For under $40 It's pretty hard to beat the quality on this one!

This spray smells really nice and the bottle is quite beautiful. The problem is that it doesn't last on me at all. Within a half hour after liberally spraying it on me, I am unable to smell it at all. Others around me cannot smell it either. I love the smell but won't be buying it again unfortunately.

Light smell of mandarin that wears off fast and NO cardamom. However, I've been using pure essential oils for many years and so perhaps my expectations are too high. And to be fair, orange is a top note, so it will fade the quickest. Cardamom is a middle note, so it will fade next, leaving the bottom note. Which in this fragrance, I can't tell what it is. Lightly floral, but not sweet.Anyway, it's a pleasant enough scent; just don't love it for me personally. Clean, more masculine/non-binary, etc. than strictly feminine (just my personal opinion).

This smells warm and spicy but not a fake smell. The citrus is natural and subtle. I love the way I smell all day and when I take my shirt off at night the scent is still on my skin.Female customer

I'm 57 years old. I've worn many citrus colognes over the years. I find this cologne subtle and not overwhelming at all. It has a clean scent which faintly lingers after eight hours after work. I bought it 1 month ago (March) I would wear it all year long and not just the Summer as others have said. I also bought the Pink Pepper and Grapefruit which is nice too.If you love a Citrus scent, try it! The cost certainly won't break the bank.

I found this cologne mostly smelled of orange peel, and very peppery or sharp cardamom.I associate cardamom with things I bake, and it is never sharp in that context. I wonder if a guy would want to wear this anymore than me, the orange is so strong.

I love my 4711, this was a change for me and it DOES NOT disappoint. Has a fresh and different (in a good way) scent, I love it, my Mrs. loves it. We highly recommend this.

This has orange blossom kind of scent. Slightly sour at that. Still better than many others I tried. Wakening Woods of Scandinavia is the best of the lot.

It is the first time I buy a fragrance without trying it before. The reviews were spot on, this cologne smells DIVINE!!. I used to buy Aqua Allegoria (Mandarine Basilic) which is gorgeous as well, however this is half the price and equally good.I have seen on Amazon that 4711 has other fragrances, I already have my eyes on the 'White peach and coriander'.'Mandarine & Cardamom' is citrusy, delicately sweet, fresh, cheeky and it will immediately put a smile on your face.I just love it!.
