Honestly, the best bar oil I've ever used!
I grow a lot of edible fruits and vegetables on my property as well as free range chickens and ducks. So I wanted to try a bio-based bar oil in my Stihl saws rather than having all that petroleum based oil spread across my property. I was skeptical at first but this oil is actually better than the Stihl bar oil (regular or platinum formulas).I run a Stihl 028AV w/ 16" bar and a Stihl 038AV Magnum with a 28" bar. I cut mostly hardwood (oak, maple, ash) and some pine. I cut wood in temperatures ranging from 10F to 90F. This bio-based oil has great tack in all temperature conditions. It stays on the bar where it should instead of flying off the end like the others... and I have no issues lubricating my 28" bar.I just purchased my 3rd gallon and would definitely recommend this to anyone from weekend warrior to professional logger.

Unpleasant smell
This stuff works fine, but has a burnt sour smell as you cut. I would buy it again, since it was very economical, but I can't say I'm thrilled about the smell and, ultimately, taste of the product as you inevitably get some of that burnt sour mist in your mouth while cutting wood.It lubricates fine, it isn't better than the cheap petroleum based stuff I used before, I'd say it's the same or a little worse. I believe the chain runs a little noisier than before. That being said, though, given the amount of oil mist that I realized I'm breathing, I will never go back to petroleum based bar oil. I'll either buy this or an equivalent vegetable based oil. Regardless, the "ecological" benefit is primarily happening in your own body, so don't laugh at the hippies with their eco-friendly bar oil. Sure a little gets in the wood chips, but I'm primarily worried about the stuff ending up in my lungs. The chips from my biodegradable bar oil do seem to rot faster than the ones with petroleum based oil. Interesting, and a little spooky.

Good stuff
Much easier on my respiratory system than conventional bar and chain oil. To ensure rats don't gnaw through the container transfer the oil into an empty metal 1 gallon can (like the kind used for paint thinner).

Excellent Product but...
Packaging was light and the bottle was mishapen making it difficult to pour.

Love it
Honestly, this works about 90% as good as regular chain oil, BUT the fact that it's biodegradable makes up for this. I used regular chain oil before buying this and the saw dust that was saturated with the regular oil took about 8 months to even begin breaking down (stayed the lightwood color from day 1 for 8 months). Saw dust after using this product oxidized and began to break down in less than a week.On top of the environmental aspect it actually works very well. It's lower viscosity stops clogs from happening too often while keeping the chain lubricated. This will be my go to chain oil unless they change the formula.

Shipping problems
Product was fine. need to do better job shipping. Not enough bubble wrap around. Cap was broke and leaking all over. Box was soaked in oil and dripping.

Works Great!
Works great! We live on five acres and I chainsaw all the time. Well worth it to keep petroleum out of our ground water!

Good for the environment
It cost a little more than some chain oils, but it's much better for the environment. And it works great!
