Cavendish & Harvey Sour Lemon Drops, 5.3 oz Tins in a BlackTie Box (Pack of 3)

Was pleasantly surprised by the flavor. No artificial taste, very natural. The tins that they come in are high quality and can be easily repurposed afterwards.

The whole family loves these. Because everyone likes them so much, we had to establish rules so one person would not eat them up. For example, we can only have one candy per typical car ride (to and from each count as one car ride, though). Also, it is generally taboo to chew the candies (you will get the stank eye for that - they must be savored). Even with the rules, however, we go through them fast enough that I have resorted to hiding unopened tins.We have tried the other flavors, but lemon is everyone's favorite. The candies and the tin are larger than the other fruit-flavored hard candies in tins I usually buy. However, the slightly larger size does make these more appropriate to use as small gifts or party favors. These candies are also dusted with a lot more sugar than those other candies. Use extra caution if you are wearing something black (or dark) and you go to get a piece. You might end up with powdered sugar sprinkled on yourself ;-). That is but a small sacrifice, however, for these delicious candies.P.S. Cherry is good too

Wow, these are loaded with Cherry flavor right down to the end. I first had these on a recent trip to Germany to visit my daughter, and we went through almost an entire tin on our road trip across Europe. I didn't read the ingredients, but I am positive these don't have fructose, since they didn't upset my stomach. I enjoyed these so much as soon as I returned to the states and immediately place an order for more.I took a tin to the office and they were almost gone by the end of the day. The Cherry flavor is really good and strong, Im sure I will be making future purchases of this flavor and of course I can't wait to try the other flavors. There is some sort of very fine powered sugar covering the candy, Im not exactly sure what it is, but its a tasty extra.

These are, how can I say it, FANTASTIC! Some of the best hard candy available today! Touch on the expensive side however so incredibly delicious they are worth every cent. I hide a can for myself while the other two stay in the kitchen where our 4 year old son thinks of them as throat lozenges and puts on such a sick face its impossible not to laugh while giving him one.If you haven't tried them before don't hesitate and just place the order now! If others are in your home hide a box away for yourself before they know about it as well. :)

I have no complaints regarding the taste of the candy. As the other reviewers have pointed out, this is excellent, top of the line hard candy. Possibly the best orange hard candy I have ever tasted. Improvement could be made, however, on the boxes. The boxes that the hard candies come in are not exactly resealable! Once you open the seal, the top doesn't close up nicely like other brand. Instead it just barely covers up the top, and thus can't be put in car glove compartment unless you are willing to tape it up. Not exactly smart for powdered hard candy to be in this kind of container!

If you wish a go for real (and sour is great) lemon drops, buy these. The tins are generous, the lemon drops are tasty just right, not all rough and sugar coated, they are wafers of a perfect size. They do have sugar calories/carbs, but good ones. Did have to put the brakes on spousal unit as he was into these all day long! Decided to order the Cavendish & Harvey Sour Cherry, know they will not taste like cough syrup, not from Black Tie Merc, good company. Thank You.
