First off, as with many people at this moment (March 2020) this was a bit of a panic purchase, to get around nursery closing. I was expecting a simple affair with screws that would eventually give up 7 years or so; I would be more than happy with that.Instead what arrived was a beautifully engineered product, bolts going through into well made nuts seated in the timer. It was an absolute joy to build, sturdy too.My only niggle (and for the price too), hence a four star review, was that the base slats in the main sand box had so much tolerance, so that I ended up with gaps or a big gap. This is not an issue in-itself as you have the fabric liner to stop the sand falling out. Where my issue comes from is that the product has two strut bars that need to fix onto the bottom and really these need a solid base with no play in, to work. In the end I pushed up the slats (except one), and used a fixing strip to hold open the gap.I really would not let this put you off the product as I think it is really nicely made, and indeed it will do many years, and at the end of it's life it can be reused or recycled better than many of the alternatives. As I always ask at the end of the review, would I recommend it? Yes. Would I buy another? Yes.

This is a nice design, and well made. The wood used is substantial, and the fixings are good. I have not given five stars because the sand pit element could be a little better in my opinion. The bottom of the sand holding area is constructed using loose slats, probably to allow any rain water to drain through, but this isn't made clear by the brief instructions. A piece of landscape fabric is provided to stop sand going through the gaps in the slats, but it's up to your own imagination how best to secure it.

I am very happy with this sandpit bench - it’s good quality and should last well. My son is very happy with his new sandpit and picnic table.I did have a fault with one of the parts but I received excellent customer service from the supplier and this was quickly resolved.

Excellent quality product, very easy to assemble as msin parts already done. Very sturdy and looks great. My 4 year old granddaughter loves it. Took 40kg of sand to fill it so plenty to play with. Looks like piece of garden furniture when lid on 🙂

This sand table is well and solidly built, and looks good. It's the ideal size for pre-school children (our grandchildren are that age so I can only speak for its suitability for that age group). Our 26 month old loves it, and it looks good in his parent's garden where they will also use it as a picnic table. It was delivered on time as ordered. The company's customer service replied quickly with sound advice when I asked how much play sand to order for it.

What a great little table! Built it in just over an hour. Very easy even for a DIY novice like myself. Very sturdy & attractive table. Pressure-treated wood so weather resistant.My son loved it. Only needed around 35-40 kg of sand to fill it (around £4 for 25kg).Overall, we are very impressed!
