Works great. Easy to clean, quiet, and comfortable. This is my second purchase. This is for our guest bathroom. We purchased the first one about a month ago for the master bathroom. High quality!

Pretty Good
Bought this for my aging mother. It works pretty good but wants to slide all over the place. I ended up making a board of the right thickness to wedge between this riser and the toilet tank so help stabilize it, thus the four start rating.

Exactly what I needed - big improvement over older types of elevated toilet seats
This replaces a larger older plastic raised toilet seat and boy is this an improvement. The old raised toilet seat had a screw in the front that I would scrape my leg on when getting out of the shower, and it was too high for me, and a nightmare to clean. Also there was no lid. I wish I had replaced that horrible one earlier with this one - my toilet is no longer a huge ugly eyesore but looks more like a normal toilet since you can use a normal toilet seat and lid on top of it. It was as easy to install as a toilet seat and once you secure the bolts, making sure they are very tightened, it does not move around. The height is perfect so I don't hurt my knees. The hinge design makes it easy to clean the toilet. This is excellent.Update: Still pleased with this, but it is not as strong as I had hoped. The top of this now has a dent & crack in it caused by one of the plastic seat bumpers on the normal toilet seat placed above it. It still works well and the dent isn't visible except when I clean the toilet, but I am betting I will have to replace this in a year or two.

Hard plastic slides Easily on Porcelain
Review based from installation as received and installed it today. The bolts that come with the product were a little larger diameter than the holes that go thru on the hinges on your existing seat. Might not be a problem this time but if the holes were any smaller, I would have had to ream them out in order to get the bolts thru. The holes on the riser are big enough for the bolts to go thru. The riser is hard plastic and sitting on the porcelain it slides very easily so you have to tighten the bolts a lot to keep the riser from sliding around. Sliding with weight on the seat can break your toilet. There is a little lip at the front on the bottom of the riser but is not enough to catch on the porcelain.I am replacing a riser that just sits on the porcelain, but it came with rubber sticky pads that you attach on the riser bottom that significantly keeps it from sliding. Plus there is a lip on this riser that keeps it from sliding off when someone is sitting on it. These rubber sticky pads DID NOT come with this riser so again you have to tighten the bolts a lot to keep it from sliding.I have a Folding & Portable Bathroom Safety Handrail Grab Bar that sits around the toilet so this may allow one to sit on the seat and stabilize themselves as they conduct their business. Lets hope that works! With all that said, the riser opening is larger than the seat opening so one is not restricted by one of those risers that just sit on the toilet. Big winner! Also the riser is hinged so that makes cleaning a lot easier. And it looks nice and you can close the lid.I'm hoping for the best with this product.

Great easy to use
I have 2 bathrooms. I'm older with really long legs so the low toilet seats in my apartment were killing my knees. I installed one in the first bathroom and my knees were so much better. I purchased a 2nd one for the guest bathroom. What is important for apartment dwellers is there is no damage to the original toilet. When you move just uninstall and you are done. Also it is good to have the toilet lid down to stop the spread of germs when flushing. So many risers go over the old seat and you can't put the the lid down to flush. No lid down and the germs spray all over the bathroom when you flush.

Built well, exactly what I needed!
Besides it looking like someone had returned this item, because the seat was not in the plastic bag when I opened the box - since you don't sit ON this riser, I cleaned it myself before I installed it. It is very sturdy, fits our toilet size great, the ability to lift the riser to clean the toilet is a plus! If you have short legs, your feet may not touch the floor!! I would recommend this riser to anyone that can't worry about it slipping sideways or not staying in place! I'll probably be buying another for the other bathroom.

Moves around
I’m not sure how to secure it to the toilet so that it doesn’t slide around. It’s not a lot of movement, but it can become misaligned with the toilet bowl. Otherwise, I really like that it can be lifted up to expose the bowl. The added height makes it easier to transfer to the toilet from my wheelchair, and easier for elderly family to use the throne.
