I'd been wanting one of these bad boys for some time - but they're expensive everywhere but here! This is the very best price I found by several hundred dollars especially for this height; the majority of these are significantly shorter. I was tired of end tables so much shorter than the arm rest height of the couch - seriously how is that comfortable or practical to use???? So this table is a GREAT height. Very heavy and sturdy out of the box. Absolutely gorgeous yet simple, which is great for apartment living as you have no idea where you'll be next. This can easily be a stool, end table, whatever - all the while adding some elegance and interest to the room without taking up almost any space. Fantastic buy. I'll probably buy another shorter one to add some dimension instead of them matching in height.Packed with care, including a very nice quality water absorbing pack to keep the wood as safe as possible from moisture while shipping. This is not so much a piece of furniture as it is a piece of art. If our home was on fire and I had time to grab one piece of furniture along with the papers, photos, and pets... I would grab this. If I had to build a new home, I would choose styles, textures, and colors using this as a guide. My wife bought this for me to use as a place to put down my drink or the TV remote next to my rocking chair in the living room. It's the perfect height for that purpose. The surface is plenty large to hold both those things as well as a BLT on a plate. But what really sets it apart is the feeling of warmth you get looking at the wood grain or simply caressing it. It's solidly carved out of a single chunk of wood, and I like the flow of the dark and light woods in my particular unit. I read others' concerns about getting samples that are mostly one color. Luck of the draw I guess. I wish we could find an excuse to buy another one or two. Hmmm... Maybe if I accidentally burned our bedside tables in the fireplace...

This end table is stunning! It's quality is beyond my expectations. There are small wood defects but you expect this since it's solid wood crafted in Thailand. Adds originality I would say. Way better than some particle board stuff you get from online furniture websites. Almost want to get another one lol.

I love the different colors of brown in this piece and the fact that it is cut from one piece of wood. What I didn't like so much is that it is a little rough so I used varathene semi-gloss spray to improve the finish. Then I sanded the top a little so that it was smooth and sprayed more of the varathene. Now it is perfect!

This is a heavy, well made, unique, and gorgeous piece of furniture. It exceeded my expectations. I needed a small side table for a tight space and it works perfectly. It is rustic but still goes with my mid century feel. Very happy with this purchase.
