works great!
My viola is just a restrung violin and this rosin is fantastic! It just works so well. The best rosin I've ever used!

Works well for the allergy prone.
I have allergies to just about everything and in the spring and fall, they're terrible. This product allows me to reduce at least one irritant in my life.I haven't noticed any difference in tone, bow stroke, etc. over my previous rosin.

Great product
I'm an adult taking violin lessons for the first time. I was using the rosin that came with my student violin so I'm not sure of the quality. However, whenever I would use the rosin that came with the violin I would cough and sneeze a lot. I found this rosin on Amazon and decided to try it to see if it would help. It's fantastic! No more coughing and sneezing fits every time I practice. And it is a lot easier to clean off of the violin after practice. Also, some reviewers mentioned they did not like the sound coming from the strings when using this rosin. I actually like it a lot. The notes seem a little brighter and more clear. My violin teacher remarked that it might be because I have Dominant strings on my violin, and they produce a more mellow sound than other strings.

it negatively effects the tone quality so if you can tolerate regular rosin I don't recommend it.
It's hypoallergenic, so I don't sneeze all over my violin anymore. Unfortunately, it negatively effects the tone quality so if you can tolerate regular rosin I don't recommend it.

Rosin
I'm teaching myself violin and this is actually the first rosin I've bought. I don't have anything to compare it to, but it seems to work well. I picked it because it was cheep(ish) and because it's hypoallergenic. I'm allergic to a lot of different things and have no idea was is normally in rosin, but this doesn't seem to bother any allergies - so that's good.April 2013 Edit: Been using it for a while now. I haven't had any problems either with allergies or sound quality. (And I'm in lessons now, so progress is a lot faster.) It works well and seems to last for ages.

Great for allergic musicians
I had the feeling that my son was allergic to regular rosin, but I confirmed it when we switched to hipo allergenic rosin! His nose-ear problems stopped! We love it

Hypoallergenic, yes, but that's about it..
I purchased both the violin/viola & cello Clarity rosin and found that they gave my strings a very raspy, harsh quality. I had been using the P. Guillaume rosin prior to this but had to stop using it due to allergies. It did do its job of not giving me allergy symptoms I would normally get by using traditional rosin. I felt that I made a big downgrade going from the Guillaume to the Clarity rosin..

Solves allergies, produces superior tone
This product more than lives up to its claims. I am allergic to rosin so I tried this product. Not only did it solve my allergy issue but it produces a superior tone. I recommend this product for professionals and beginners alike.
