Color:Lt. Pink, Orange, White, Light Blue, Yellow This SoftTiles Safari Animals foam play mat in Light Pink, Orange, White, Light Blue, Yellow is a fun colorful design that's perfect for any playroom or nursery room floor. The Safari Animal shapes in this play mat are very large and are die-cut from our large SoftTiles 2 foot x 2 foot interlocking foam tiles. This large floor mat measures 6.5 x 6.5 feet (78 x 78 inches)- an area over 42 sqft. This large baby play mat is ideal for infants learning to crawl, toddlers starting to walk, and parents playing with their kids. In this foam tile set, you will receive 8 Safari Animals (2 Elephant, 2 Giraffe, 2 Monkey, and 2 Lion), 24 sloped border pieces. The sloped borders are unique to SoftTiles and help provide a smooth transition from our 5/8” thick mats to the floor. Our mats are thick- thicker than most in the market, so we created the borders to help prevent tripping while looking great at the same time. This set does NOT contain small pieces and is safe for all ages! SoftTiles are made in Taiwan from non toxic EVA foam and tested to EN-71 European Safety Standards and are free of formamides, BPA, phthalates, lead, etc. Because the Safari Animals foam mats are die-cut, we do not recommend them for use on softer surfaces like higher pile carpet as the pieces can pop up when walked on. SoftTiles has been creating designer foam mats for kids since 1994. We create the highest quality, distinctive, and beautiful foam play mats that both you and your child will love spending time on. If you need a larger mat, combine two of these sets or add a set from our other SoftTiles designs that are available on : Safari Animals, Nautical Theme, Sea Animals, Butterflies

On time and as expected
I bought this for my child to have a safe "landing zone" for playing as our home is hardwood floors throughout. The product arrived on time and packaged well. I am very pleased as I have used this style for gym-floor matting and had minor issues with fit and form. This product is second to none in that area with precise fit, clean lines and shapes, and uniform thickness and color. I can not as yet rate the durability above a 4 as only time will tell but overall it is a great product and looks more like a nice rug on our wood floors as opposed to a gym floor tile from a fitness center. The tan and white version looks great with our white baby fence and natural wood floor so the wife was very pleased with that as well. As your child grows you can also remove the animals for a learning-puzzle game with big soft pieces, so a good product all around.

Higher price well worth it!
Our 9-month-old grandson was able to play on these for the first time today. He’s beginning to crawl & likes to stand up with assistance a lot. We have hard tile flooring, so I wanted thick tiles to protect hard falls &/or hands & knees when crawling. I like the comfy/cushy tile thickness, which is .5 of an inch. I looked through several other brands & the SoftTiles seemed to have the thickest. Yes, they are one of the higher priced products, but I think they were worth the money. All the tiles lined up & fit very well together. My only complaint is: whoever packed them for shipping, gave us 2 border tiles of the wrong color. The incorrect border pieces fit just fine, though. So, if you have severe OCD, this might bug you. I’m sure if I would’ve contacted the company, they’d likely send me the correct color, but I just want a safe product. I feel this is a very quality product & am planning to order some as a baby gift for a friend.

Nice mat, but shows dirt easily.
The reason we got this was to protect our kids from the tile floor in the place we are renting, since they are pretty young and will probably often fall. For that purpose, this is great. The biggest reason I don't like it is because hair or little pieces of dirt show up so easily. I'm happy to sweep often, but am not one to enjoy mopping. Sweeping doesn't clear it off like I'd like and I don't always have a good chance to mop it while my kiddos are awake but sufficiently distracted. I guess you aren't supposed to vacuum on it as the bristles might damage the surface. I may end up just using the vacuum anyway because it bothers me so much. Cute design, though. My older kid is excited about the animals and I like the neutral colors.

Great mat for playing on the floor with baby.
Update 10/26/2016: Over a year later and this mat has held up beautifully with a very active toddler dragging practically everything across it and two cats clawing it to death. We walk over it constantly because it's still in the living room. In fact, I just ordered another one with different animals so I can add on to the original because my daughter now has a play table and the chair slides too easily over the wood floor. So, the new mat is going to connect to the old one and extend the padded area. For those who say it isn't soft, keep in mind that the softer the tiles are, the shorter their lifespan. And these are plenty soft to handle my knees and the knees of my 65+ year old parents. They look amazing after all this time. We have vacuumed them and washed them with no change in the texture (the only damage they have is from the cats, and even that isn't too bad). They are firmer than other mats, but my daughter has fallen on them A LOT, and while she might bump her head and cry, she isn't hurt. The mat doesn't slide around at all. They aren't completely waterproof at the seams (naturally), but they do slow down any spills. One of my best baby purchases!!!!Original review:We have hardwood floors, so I was looking for something to both cushion baby's body when moving around and to cushion me when I'm sitting on the floor playing with her. This has a nice thickness and cushion. It isn't smushy, just has enough give that it's easy on the knees. The colors are vibrant and the tiles lock together extremely well. The size is perfect. Not so big that it won't fit in the center of a room and not so small you can't easily fit several people playing on it at the same time.I'm not sure why some people experienced an odor, because mine had none. Maybe theirs sat out in the heat? The only thing I'd love to see improved, and this is just me being very picky (because I love the set), is for the edge pieces to start off with a wider flat part before they begin to taper down. This is because they taper down so quickly that the tips of the large pieces are thicker than the edge pieces, so stick up a bit. Again, this doesn't detract, but in a perfect world, it would be nice for there to be no edges sticking up at all.I'll update this after a few months to let people know if there has been any effect on the hardwood floors from the tiles sitting on them for extended periods. As an aside, my cats have loved clawing the pieces, so little holes now exist, but there has been no shredding of the material so far, so no risk of ingestion for baby. But keep in mind if you have cats, chances are they are going to want to "sharpen" their claws on these tiles. :)

We love these! We have them in (alas
We love these! We have them in (alas!) our living room, and they look really nice. They provide great cushioning for my 9 month old, who is cruising and climbing on everything and falling all the time. My 3 year old loves playing on them too, and it's a comfortable spot for an adult to sit with the boys. No off-gassing, and I felt good about buying something less toxic then other brands of foam tiles and mats. We have the black and white and I love that palette in our main living space, but will caution others that they show dirt quite a bit.

Love the Mat, scratches easily
We love this mat and it is perfect for our sons room. It looks great and it is very comfortable to sit on. My only concern, and it is not really a complaint, is that we have a 60 pound dog and whenever she walks on it or sits down her nails rub against it and leave marks and gouges. I don't fault the product or the company but keep your pets off!

Great Purchase
This is a really good quality play mat! We were looking for something to add in our living room for our one year old to crawl around on since we have hardwood floors. It's pretty easy to clean, but the ridges in the foam tiles are designed to face upwards so you can't simply wipe it clean, you have to get in the little grooves. It's soft, but is pretty firm. My son doesn't seem to mind. I think the lighter color tiles might show more wear and dirt, do that's something to keep in mind when purchasing!
