Q: Age range for this toy?

I play with this with my 7 year old grandson who lives about 55o miles away. It has been fun sending him messages in secret codes. P.S. I am 70. So there is your age range.

Yes! This is small enough to take on an airplane! Just remove the contents from the packaging. I purchased this for my grandson to take on an airplane. Everything will fit inside of a gallon zip-loc bag easily with room to spare.

Q: Is this only for 1 child to play at a time or could 2 children do this together? I have twins and don't know if I should buy 1 or 2 of these.

If I remember correctly the deluxe set has three different activity booklets to decode. They each use a different method of decoding so your twins could each have one with an extra or they could work together on each of them. I did them with my granddaughter and we had fun, your twins should enjoy. And maybe they will let you decode the third one, lol. I enjoyed them myself.
