Per dollar, awesome buy
First off, great budget purchase. Second - This is NOT my EDC - it IS NOT (shouldn't be anyways) meant as a primary bushcraft/camp knife. Not for battoning wood, or building a house on the prairie. The blade comes sharpened, the little flashlight in it works excellent for it's size (if you are smart enough to open it and remove the black contact liner) and even comes with a backup set of batteries (easy to lose, look out)The cheap nylon belt pouch is... Cheap. The knife is to small to fit it well, but the box it comes in, does fit. This is not a bad thing actually, it leaves a bit of space for adding a few extra, small items (like a sharpening rod/small stone, a small lighter, a bit of bank line, etc) I plan to keep this in a pack, not on my belt anyways. The pocket clip would be better for carrying all the time, in my opinion. The little Ferro rod is... Little. I assume it works like most of it's kind, I haven't stripped the outer layer off to waste it yet. One of my only complaints really, is the silly "bottle opener" cut out on the spine of the blade. It already has the sorta "seatbelt/ropecutter" tool along with the glass breaker at the bottom of the grip that would handle that just fine. Since it comes with a ferrorod/firestriker, a continuous, 90° spine for the blade would seem more helpful, and stronger. Maybe it saves them 2-10¢ per blade of material? The action to open it, is slightly stiff; as a new knife should be. It's clearly not a flipper, nor does it suggest it is - the thumb stud works fine. Ergonomics are not ideal, but most combos that add gimmicks (like flashlight/firestarter) are not. It does sit in the hand just fine though. All in all - (for the price especially) 5 stars. Useful, portable, it does everything I expect it to as backup, utility item in a pack, or car console.

Great Value Rescue Tool
I purchased this as a supliment to my emergency preparedness tool collection. For the money it is a great value! I own a benchmade triage 915 which is similar in intended function but costs 15x as much. Is this albatross as good? No. Obviously. But to have this in a car glove box, a hiking pack, truck center console, emergency medical/earthquake kit etc would be great. No big deal if it gets lost or stolen. I tested the belt cutter and it works. The blade comes fairly sharp. The flashlight is very bright for its size. The fire starter 100% works! Just scrape off the black coating first. Bottle opener is a nice touch for those pesky non-twist beers. Glass breaker seems a little more dull than others I have but should work jut fine. I have a few reservations... the case? Literally threw it out. Horrible thin material, worse than $1 store holster. ....the flashlight (while pleasantly bright!) turns on by twisting. To turn it off you have to “untwist” the head. Not a fan of that design as it can discharge or fall off during carry. Also it is overall heavy and doesn’t feel great in my hand. Its slippery too. No grip. I plan on using superglue and fine sand to add texture. It’s NOT a heavy duty knife. It’s a “oh nice! This will do this job I need it for right now” type of knife that you can forget about until you need it. That said I’ll prob be buying a few more to throw in emergency kits for my cars etc

Looks exactly as pictured-but batteries were confusing
I purchased 2 of these knives in red. One to keep one in my car and one by my nightstand. Everything came just as pictures and the blade was very sharp, the whole mechanism is in great condition and sturdy. But when I opened them, I could not figure out the batteries for the flashlight part! First of all, It was a little hard to find, But I pointed it out on my photo attached. The package included a sleeve of 4 little batteries uninstalled from the knife. So I opened them and I'm sitting here twisting and turning this little light, trying to force the new batteries in and putting different amounts of 1, 2 or 4 and trying different placements and It was just very frustrating to try to get the thing to work and understand the instructions. I almost returned the knife to buy something else but I hopped back on amazon to check out other reviews and FAQs.After reading other comments, I think a bunch of us had the same confusion: Turns out the package came with that sleeve of 4 little batteries there were also 4 ADDITIONAL batteries already in the light as well. (so a total of 8 batteries per knife). And that's why I couldn't get the new ones in.So the trick when you first open the package for your knofe is to take the little flashlight part off,Unscrew the bottom and tap it on the counter so the batteries fall out, (it should be a set of 4 that are bound together with plastic)take off that plastic wrap and re-insert them back into the tube, (However, putting batteries back in 1 by 1 is hard because the magnet makes them turn sideways in the tube.)so instead, stack all 4 of the batteries on your counter with the flat part of the batteries facing up,then slide the flashlight tube on top of the batteries and flip it over so you can then screw in the top part of the flashlight. You'll see the light turn on after you screw it in all the way.To turn the light off, just lightly unscrew it and it can be stored back in the knife like that.So then after all that, if your package came like mine, you will end up with 4 extra batteries for future use, and 4 batteries in the knife right now. phew! Once I got that situated I decided I liked this knife. I think it's super practical for the car and feeling safe at home. It's cool to have the seatbelt cutter and windshield breaker although I hope to never have to use that. Im curious about the fire starter too and might try that next time im out camping. But the flashlight and the fact that its in the same direction as the blade is an important feature for me to have with it so I'm glad I got it to work! Great value for the price!
