KlutzBff Backpack Charms

I want to do an activity when I went to visit with our eight-year-old granddaughter that does not live close by. This backpack charm kit which came with materials for 4 charms was a great activity that we worked on throughout the weekend. The charms are sturdy and easy to handle, the counting confused her so a little adult intervention was helpful and kept us working side by side. By the time we departed from our weekend visit, she had 4 charms for herself and her friends and she was very proud and felt accomplished. This was a great activity. And it came with ideas for future charms.

My 7 yr old son wanted to learn to cross stitch, and he did so immediately with this kit. The book has many adorable designs to choose from, clear and easy instructions, and everything you need is included in the kit. He can finish stitching a design in about 2 days...other kits we've tried that require many days of stitching to complete a design are not as fun for him. I do wish they would have included a bit more thread...stitching one emoji used all of the yellow thread to the point where we could barely tie it off. Also the black hanging clips included are worthless, so I've been using 2" metal ball chains to hang the designs from. My son enjoyed this kit so much he begged me to buy him another (which I did)...for that alone I give it 5 stars.

Got for my daughter. I am really into cross stitch and embroidery and have been for years so I saw this and thought it was a cute start. Everything came in great condition. The instructions however were hard! Some parts such as tying were explained nice but the explanation of the actual stitches and the patterns didn’t make sense. I had to use my prior knowledge to help it turn out. If someone didn’t know how to stitch and tried to use purely the instructions it wouldn’t come out well and the stitches would be a mess as well as the design messed up.

This was a perfect present for our kids. It has easy to follow instructions and many pages of patterns to follow. We ended up using some of our own needles as our kids wanted to do it all at the same time. Our kids got frustrated a few times when they messed up the pattern. It was a good lesson on patience.

this product was purchased as an activity for a 5th grade girl. She like it at the outset. There were two factors that complicated the project. Firstly, It would have been nice if the plastic charm pieces had more specific markings or indentations of where to begin, so that a less-detail organized person could "get it right" the first time. Also, the backing stickers were mis-cut and the lines where they peeled off of the sticker sheet don't line up properly. It was still a fun activity and produced nice results.

it is such a nice item. have several grandkids and cannot afford full price. when I saw this price . I went and ordered immediately. and your shipping was perfect. everything intact. now hope the ones to family get there too. we will be looking again at KLUTZ and believe me I am one.

I got this for my 4 year olds birthday. She was definitely too young for it but she enjoyed having me make them for her for her backpack. It wasn’t too hard to make. An older preteen would definitely love it.

Very neat idea and a great quarantine craft. Our 7 year old daughter is still learning to cross stitch and she found it challenging but a delight to work on.
