Iron Maiden: Album by Album

Iron Maiden is a complex band with a long history of excellent music.This book takes you on the journey through each album with a lot of deep looks into individual songs, riffs, lyrics, artwork and personnel.The book uses a great level of fans, experts and insiders, like Bayley.I love the band. This book is great for someone like me. However, I did find new facts about the songs and listened to the albums with a fresh take. This is rare for someone who has listened to these albums for decades.Great book.

If you're a Maiden fan, this is a worthwhile purchase. Good background, history, analysis from knowledgeable sources. Will def take you back in time to where you were in the old days, and enlighten if you weren't around back then.Still can't believe their first album came out in '80; my first IM cassette purchase would have been ~83 (11 years old), at a local used record / cassette shop in my hometown. Shop was one of my fondest memories as a kid.And, my humble opinion, IM is still producing quality, interesting, challenging work. Though I'm still partial to the old stuff.Only two chapters into the book; tomorrow is chapter 3: Number of the Beast. Which should be where things get really interesting.

I have read a lot of Martin's Album by Album books and the one does not disappoint. The book is a good overview of the band the albums. This one includes Martin's and other musicians comments on the albums and the influence of their music. I also really enjoy the photographs that accompany the text. Casual and Hard Core fans will both enjoy this book.

One of the best books on one of the greatest bands ever. Every album covered.

I'm a big fan of Maiden and this book didn't disappoint. Lots of lovely glossy pictures and great info on the band 👍🤟

Piękne wydanie (twarda oprawa, mnóstwo kolorowych zdjęć), świetny pomysł na opowiadanie o poszczególnych płytach (autor rozmawia o nich z różnymi znanymi muzykami, którzy też są fanami Maidenów) i przystępny język tworzą z tej pozycji idealne omówienie (prawie) wszystkich albumów zespołu (bo płyta "Senjutsu" nie jest tu już uwzględniona).

Antes de mais nada, quero dizer que a entrega foi feita em 3 dias. Assim, a entrega mais rápida que a Amazon fez para mim.A capa é dura, mas não é como de HQs ou de títulos da DarkSide. É de um material mais "frágil" e mais "fácil" de ficar amassado, então cuidado com o manuseio.Apesar do livro ser em inglês, quem tem um nível mediano do idioma não vai sentir dificuldade alguma, pois se trata de alguns fatos e muitas entrevistas com nomes conhecidos do metal.Não é um livro sobre curiosidades ou algo do tipo. É um livro de conversas de fãs para fãs. E, sendo assim, o Popoff compilou ótimas conversas para nós. Up the Irons!
