Too dang short
Here’s the truth, you can’t give more than 1 Star to a product that doesn’t fit a basic standard. These stockings were inches too short. The rule is 3 fingers below the kneecap. I’m 5’9”. These are waaay too short.

decent socks, with caveats
after reading the reviews I was wary, but bought a pair in Khaki, I figured for 7 dollars it was worth a shot. The socks shipped in reasonable time considering where they were shipping from. They are lighter weight than House of C. and others, but are still thick enough to look good. and on my 16.5" calves don't look like they're being stretched thin by ant means. I'm 5'9" and wouldn't want them any shorter. The socks I got are just the right height, but I can see someone getting a pair that's too short if the QC at the manufacturer is spotty... The fibre content is listed as 65% wool, but I think that's a generous estimate. Feels like there is a bit more acrylic in the mix than is claimed. I've worn them several times and haven't had any issues with them stretching out at the top. One last thing; I ordered khaki, but they showed up in a dark green, kinda like an old U.S. Army pickle suit green. Good color mind you, just not very close to the khaki in the ad.

Not even close
I ordered these in Khaki which in the photo is a medium brown. That is what I needed. I received them but they are a cream color at best. Neither Khaki or anything close to the color in the photo. Additionally these are not the fluffy thick kilt socks you are used to. You can see your leg through the knit.Update: I notified the seller aof the wrong color nd he stated that Cream must have been sent by mistake. He shipped a Khaki replacement which I just received. The color is most certainly gray. I showed them to several people and they concur that the color is gray. The seller doesn't sell a gray, so I know it isn't another fulfillment mistake, that is just their interpretation of khaki.

Wow.
Gonna be honest, wasn’t sure what to expect, you know? The first pair of socks I got were perfect, then I tried another brand, slightly less than perfection, and I saw this brand, price looked good, figured I would give it a try.... just arrived, and both are perfect! The feel is rather nice, super soft, wool blend, nice color, jet black, fits nicely and looks super. I am rather pleased with the purchase!

Is small for size
I purchased these for my very skinny legged boyfriend to wear with his kilt. He had stated that the socks were tight on his calves and he feared he stretched them out. He has really skinny legs and is not sure that they will be comfortable for use. Sadly, this is past the return window for me, or these would have gone back.

Way bigger than advertised
The size I chose was for range men's 6-11. Not sure if that was European sizing but I wear a size 9 US so I thought I was covered. Apparently not. These were MASSIVE. Also the packaging didn't say what size so I may have received the next bigger size for all I know. I am not going to return it, just going to donate the socks since I can't use them.

Quality and style
I purchased this pair of hose to wear with my kilt of Clergy Tartan and find them to be a wonderful alternative to my usual white hose. The look is distinctive and changes the overall look of my kit.I am pleased.

Good quality wool socks.
Good quality, but they seem to be small for the quoted size. I am not a big man, but these fit on the border of being uncomfortably tight over my calves. Also, they are almost to short to wear with flashes.

Ideal for everyday wear.
Ideal for everyday wear. For Pipe Bands or Clan Balls something more elaborate would probably be expected, but that is another matter. Length overall 28 inch 72 cm which is enough to go clear above my knees and then fold down twice to below. Material seems 'wool rich' and is heavy enough without being obtrusive - - I can get my usual size 8 hard shoe on on top. More or less stops up on its own, though colour garter would probably be worn for all day wear anyway. As I am now wearing a kilt around the house in preference to jeans, I will have to get some more for the wash. The first batch were washed in the machine at 30C and came to no harm.

Nice enough socks
Hill and forestry walking in shorts rather than a kilt these appeared to be a good choice and I was quite happy with them until they got wet. When wet they suddenly made my legs feel itchy. If those north of the border have under wear made of the same material it's no wonder so many people think Scotsmen don't wear anything under their kilts.

Disappointed!
Firstly, the image(s) of goods offered for sale form part of the description of the goods. These socks, whilst long as described, are not long enough to fold over at the top as described in the picture. This is essential to highlanders wearing kilts.Secondly, they stay up only if you don't walk about - which is of course a contradiction to their purpose, and not walking about means you're in your home, in which case of course you wouldn't need them anyway because they'd be too warm! Outdoors, where they'd be most welcome, alas, within a couple of hundred yards they had slipped down to the height of ordinary-length socks!

Lovely warm long socks
I bought these for padding around the house in. They are on the large size for my size 6 feet but that doesn't matter as I will wear them either on their own or with loose fitting Ugg boots. Either way, they are lovely and warm.

Cheap and reflected in the fit.
Cheap, and this is reflected in the fit. For kilt socks I found them to be rather short in length. Not only that, the fit was not supportive as most socks are. They were rather loose and moved around on both my foot and my leg. Of course, we are all different and your mileage may vary. From a personal perspective, I’m going to have to buy some that will work for me.
