I purchased this on Amazon for $43, now they are jacking up the price. All the complaints about how it doesn't work or broke seem clearly related to abuse. Of course it's going to stop working if you are using it to pick up human hair, it is a pet hair attachment meant to be used on furniture. It previously lasted me 10 years and only broke when the release button got messed up. Use it carefully the way it's supposed to be used and it will last.

Fair Disclosure: This little powered attachment (not the vacuum) has an awful life expectancy and it had bad reviews even when I bought the vacuum nearly 20 years ago. For the time that the attachment worked I loved it enough to want the replacement which, unsurprisingly the company has stopped producing. I don't have high expectations that this will last a long time, no fault of the seller's, it just is a flawed product. That said, it works now and it's worth it (to me) even knowing that its lifetime will not be as long as the vacuum which has worked so well for so many years.

Exactly what I wanted and arrived the next day

This worked well for a year. It stopped working when the brush rotator ends got clogged with hair and dirt and didn't spin as easily. After I opened it up and cleaned it, as I had many times before with the Kenmore part before I had to replace it with this, it wouldn't work. Even though the brush could now move freely, it seemed like it wasn't getting power. I was frustrated that the original part stopped working after five years, and now this one is done after one year.Also, it wasn't heavily used during the year that it did work.

This is a tool I feel like is a 'must have' if you have a Kenmore canister vac. I just can't believe that it's no longer included when you buy the vacuum. It's the best way to vacuum stairs and vehicles that I know of.

Exactly like my old one. Fit perfectly on the vacuum hose. Very powerful.

this is the second pet power mate that I have ordered...first lasted over 5 years but the latest replacement only worked for 8 months. The belt does not run even after I took the power mate apart and replaced the belt (also removed the endplate and cleaned inside the brush holder). the power mate works extremely well on stairs and upholstered furniture, but doesn't have much reliability.
