I like candles, but sometimes the scents are overwhelming. Also, I usually don't just want to light one candle. Depending on the situation, I like to have up to a few dozen going at once. With real candles I would be nervous about a fire starting. What I like about these is that they are a softer, warmer glow, and not super bright. They are smaller at 1.5 X 1.7 inches, but each box comes with 24. I bought 2 boxes.They have this beautiful ambiance, but can be utilized in many different ways.Some ideas on how we have or will use them:1. Romantic time2. Table setting3. Holiday decor4. Relaxing in a bubble bath with a glass of wineThat's just 10 ideas, most of which we have already tried, off the top of my head. So many different uses. The best part is that they are safe for everyone to use.To use them, simply turn them on or off. That simple. There is no remote or timer, which I really prefer so everyone can use them as needed. We do have some larger ones on a timer and have a remote for them, but we keep them stationary. The batteries can be changed. They use a CR2032 battery. You can find a 40 or 50 pack of the off brand batteries for roughly the same price as the candles. If you keep them on constantly (24/7), you will get about 8 days of battery life. Using them 6 hours per day will get approximately 30 days of usage. On average, we use or will use them regularly a few times a month. So the battery in one should last us about a year based on our usage. The ones the kids have will probably have to be changed 2 or 3 times a year, which still isn't bad.I like that they are functional, can be used in many different applications, are safe, and beautiful.

They don't shimmer very much so they don't look much like candles. More like a night light. But hey, they light up with a warm light and are pleasant to look at. I wish they put out more lumens though...

They appear to be really good quality tealight candles and seem durable enough to last a long time. They are simple to use and work beautifully. These flameless candles are perfect for my needs. I got these for DIY projects and they are really great. The flame flickers to give it a realistic look, all candles work, as i have tested all of them. They were a great price for the amount you get. Do not seem super cheap and chintzy, plastic is thick and durable. If you need a larger amount of flameless candles, these are a perfect option.
