Hoosier Hill Farm Original White, Popcorn Lovers Jar, 4 Pound

This is a great go to brand and company. What I like best is that we prefer white popcorn!!! Have had difficulty finding the right brand. This pops almost completely in mine & pops much larger than jolly time white brand w/ VERY few unpopped kernals<WOW . It is non gmo & is from Indiana. I like plain popcorn. This tastes awesome, as I use no oil nor salt/topping even. It has helped me keep healthy weight during covid this year stuck at home vs other snack choices and has always been in stock, delivered right away in great packaging in nice sealed sturdy container vs flimsy plastic bag<often with tiny holes (like organic in as much food as possible, but found only 1 supplier of that &beyond expensive for what can't guarantee, nor budget feasible) SO, for our family we just wanted SOURCED+non gmo, that tastes just right. Comes out much lower cost PLUS much higher quality, than in store purchases that say select or premium! Also, for larger families on budget or snap card, this is eligible... would definitely give it a try. It's the brand we now have on subscribe and save.

I use to think that if you wanted the best popcorn you either went to the grocery store and brought a jar of kernels bottled by the man with the funny first and last name OR it wasn't the best.Well, I just purchased a new Ecolution microwave popper (Amazon sells them) and decided to treat myself to a jar of "gourmet popcorn". I was curious to know what made it "gourmet". The first thing that I noticed about this popcorn was the texture. It wasn't dry like Styrofoam (I didn't use any butter) and it had the distinct flavor of corn (I didn't use any salt, either). Finally, there were no unpopped kernels left in the popper, no waste.Also, the hulls were very small and didn't get lodged between my teeth. I also found that the price was no different than the store brought brand. So, now I know what makes popcorn called "gourmet", especially the Hoosier Hill brand.

For a white popcorn varietal, it sure looks, smells and tastes like yellow. The kernels are huge, fluffy and beautiful to look at. They make an ideal canvas for toppings. The fragrance is highly aromatic, like walking into a movie theater. In fact, yellow is the most popular popcorn currently used in movie theaters because of all those aforementioned qualities. Yellow popcorn also features tough hulls, which this popcorn does also have. White popcorn is a varietal that used to be popular at street vendors. It makes smaller, more tender kernels with softer hulls. It is not as ostentatiously aromatic as yellow, but if you are looking for a popcorn that is easier to chew and digest - and if you are looking for white, you probably are - then the Hoosier Hill Farm popcorn is not really what you are seeking. As an accidental find for yellow popcorn lovers though, it's the bee's knees.

Until earlier this week, I might have given this four stars. I pop my corn in a heavy pot on the stove in oil. It's good popcorn. Tasted fine, nearly all the kernels popped but I had one issue...volume. It didn't pop as large as what i was used to. The other night I swapped my olive oil out for coconut oil. Truth be told, I really like coconut oil better but I'm lazy. WHAT A DIFFERENCE. Volume increased by a third. It's light and fluffy...this is my new go-to. Can't beat it for the price. And it's great with their white cheddar powder.

Awesome product with good customer service. Our first order was perfect! Tender, kernels and excellent popping.We had an issue with the second batch, it didn't pop correctly. We informed the company and they immediately sent a replacement.The replacement batch is excellent. As good or better than the first. We will continue to order this popcorn in the future.

Enjoying my 1st bowl of this wonderful popcorn made in my new Salbree microwave popper. Every kennel popped & the taste is heavenly. It's crunchy but not tough & has a slightly sweet taste. I topped it with melted butter & the kernels did not get soggy. Salted lightly & I'm enjoying the best bowl of popcorn I've had in ages! I grew up in the Midwest & firmly believe Indiana grows the best corn on the planet! The jar is large so it's pretty economical for a gourmet popcorn. Will definitely be back for more (which will probably be fairly soon) 😝

This is a great price and the taste is good, however I found a lot of popped kernals. I use a silicone popper in the microwave and have tried a few brands. This one doesn't work well with the silicone popper - perhaps it will work better with a different type of popper. I just always have a lot of unpopped kernals.

I am an old Iowa farm girl who was raised on popcorn and good sense. This popcorn brings back memories of how popcorn is supposed to taste. Believe it or not, I'm cooking it in my Ecolution Original Micowave Mico-Popcorn popper and it is turns out perfect every time. Very few kernels and hulls and the popcorn is tender and delicious. For health reasons I have not tried to make this popcorn in the traditional manner but I really don't miss it. I'm sharing some of this with my daughter and grandchildren and when I run low on this shipment, I'll order it again.

Hoosier Hill Farm White Popcorn is the best popcorn on the market-hands down...Love the flavor and tender kernels that pop really well leaving very few dud kernels. This is absolutely wonderful popping corn. I only prefer sweet and salty popcorn rather than caramel and this is the absolute best popcorn out there for making sweet and salty. It's simply gorgeous. Popped all the kernels. The product arrived promptly and was so hygienically packaged which I love. It's GMO free too. Loved it so much I'm buying the yellow and red popcorn. I only wish I could buy their Mushroom popcorn but it seems to be unavailable in the UK. With a long shelf life of almost two years, I'm well prepared for another 'lockdown'! Homemade popcorn is the best and Hoosier Hill Farm is way above anything I've purchased in the UK.

Ich habe lange nach einer Sorte gesucht, die bei meiner Heißluft Popkornmaschine komplett aufpoppt ohne harte Hülsen oder Kerne übrig zu lassen.Ich geselle mich gern zu den guten Rezessionen dazu und schreibe, dass ich sie gefunden habe! :)Geschmack ist typisch pures Popkorn. Die Verpackung ist top und kann gern wiederverwertet werden. Preis ist ok, da ich davon wohl ein ganzes Jahr von leben werde. :DIMMER WIEDER GERN BESTELLT!

Ich mache Popcorn ganz einfach in einem alten Topf: Öl bis der Boden bedeckt ist, Maiskörner auch nur den Boden bedeckend und den Herd ausschalten, sobald die ersten Körner aufgepoppt sind. Dieser Mais eignet sich hervorragend für diese Art der Popcorn - Herstellung.
