Reliable daily solar flashlight for extended trips
I drained the battery by leaving the light on until ZERO light was left, then clicked it a few times to be sure it didn’t just automatically shut off before the battery died. Then, I left it in the yard from dawn to dusk on a fairly cloudy Sacramento day on October 1st. I switched the light onto the low setting (plenty to light a path), and left it on all night. 11:35hrs later, it’s looking like it still has another hour or two left in it! Still plenty light for walking a path; lights up an average backyard enough to be useful. Will get much dimmer over the next 2-5 hours before dying based on all the other testing I’ve done, but still... a full non-stop night of useful light after charging for ONE cloudy fall day? That’s the kind of performance I was hoping for. This does not work so well for charging phones day-to-day. The reserve is just not big enough. I’d estimate a +5% charge for my iphoneX after a full sunny summer day in the backyard - and that’s not starting the day of charging from a dead light, that’s just from the battery level that no longer supports charging my phone. When fully wall-charged, the Journey added ~ 40% charge to my iphoneX before stopping itself and leaving enough light power to use as a flashlight for (probably) 4-6 hours or so.Update: almost identical results using the smaller Journey 160. Perhaps slightly less bright by morning, but hardly noticeable if it was. Also, the day was a bit sunnier in general while it was charging. Both great lights!I haven’t been as impressed by their headlamp (yet) but haven’t done enough testing.Tip: drill a small hole in the edge of the tailcaps to tie a lanyard to them. I’ve also added 3M reflective tenacious tape to make them easier to find in the dark. I lose things alllll the time, and this definitely helps.

Buy Hybridlight, it will pay for itself in bateries!
I have bought 4 different lights from Hybridlight over the past few years. None of them seem to have a shortened battery life despite heavy use and abuse. Each one has exceeded my expectations. I will never buy another brand of flashlight, these actually stay charged and will charge another device if needed. The lights are not heavy and have survived many drops and whacks. I have employed them in all sorts of conditions from camping, sailing, and hiking, to fixing the car and the plumbing under the sink. Sometimes I leave them on for hours at a time. I rarely have to actually plug one in due to low power capacity, they stay topped up from the sun! I love them so much I buy them for friends as gifts. Everyone should invest in Hybridlight.

This is a Great Flashlight !
I recieved my flashlight very quickly. It works like a charm, very bright, before I had even unwrapped it from the bubble wrap you could tell that the red charge light was on from the light from the window. I believe I might be ordering a second one.The only downside I have of this flashlight is that I charged it when I first opened it with the usb. As soon as I plugged it in, I heard an electrical hum, You also hear it when you use the flashlight, it is coming from the end with the port on it. I am not sure if something is wrong or anything, but you can't help but notice it.Update, as long as you don't drop the flashlight, you will have no problems. I have dropped it around maybe 7 or 8 times, and a tiny piece in side jiggles/clatters around when you move it sometimes. Also after I have droped it a few more times, the powerbutton sometimes no longer clicks but it still works, until I shift the inside back into place by tapping it against my hand. Also the usb does move away from the end.It has become a very big hassle now to recharge with the usb, have to use a tiny screwdiver or pliers to hold the other usb to stay where it is supposed to be just to plug in the other one to charge, otherwise it just pushes down into the flightlight without plugging in.None of that stops the flashlight from working.UPDATE ! _ ! 8 // 19 // 2018Okay, it seems to work, but everytime I now turn on the flashlight the light constantly flashes red, I believe it is on its last leg. I will update again, weather or not if keeps working. It is a decent flashlight, but I am now having serious doubts on using this for survival kits, or camping.

Great flashlight until mine stopped working
Great flashlight until mine stopped working. I called the manufacture and also emailed about the problem but no return call or email. Amazon also sent an email and again no response. Manufacture's web page says "Life Time Warranty" which I assume is false advertising as manufacture hides behind voice mail and email and does not honor their product warranty.

great light
This by far is the premium survival light. I bought one for myself and one for my Sister. Being a closet prepper I've done a lot of research on solar lights. Comes with a USB cable for fast charging. Another superior light is the PSL light which I have. Quality is not cheap and cheap is not quality.

not very bright
I was trying to replace another LED flashlight of the same brand, which has been awesome, but I couldn't find the same model. This new one is bigger, and has two intensity settings, but both are rather weak. Also, it needs recharging much more often that my old one. I have not tried the solar charging capability - that's a good feature, I guess.

Impressive Solar Flashlight
I'm a solar flashlight junkie (love them for camping and walking to the barn to feed in the evening), and this is the brightest solar flashlight I have ever owned. I received it yesterday and set it out in the sun all day today, and the light is super bright. In addition, the flashlight fits easily in your hand; it isn't a large, bulky size. I replaced a $75 GoalZero flashlight with this one (see my review for that one). This one is much brighter and easy to grasp. After one night's use, I'm very impressed, but I'll append this review if the flashlight fails or any other issues.
