Rivers Edge Products Fish Bones Wind Chime

I bought this wind chime to give to my brother on his birthday, because he has a small ride boat and thought it would be ideal to put on the deck, hanging from the sunshade. It was really a great idea, he liked it very much most of all due to its originality. I was surprised how big and heavy it was this fish, a strong material, actually is made of some kind of metal, has a beautiful iridescent green color and sounds musical with the wind. I liked it so much that I will buy one for my garden.

Fish bones are connected with metal loops. The metal loops are not closed. First wind and the chime comes apart. And then try to find the connector loops in the grass. JUNK.

It's okay. I was expecting more. Smaller than I thought and it doesn't have the same color as the picture. The reviews were so positive I thought I'd love it regardless of these small inconsistencies but I don't. It also came packaged in molded plastic and was an absolute pain to get it open. For what it is - and it is metal - I wouldn't have thought twice about buying it I had seen it in person in a store. I probably wouldn't have even looked at the price and if I had, I would have thought it was too much for what it is. Oh well. I hung it up but I'm not all that thrilled with it.

Very unique wind chime, picture is accurate. I left mine outside all summer and fall in the elements and it still looks great, nothing broke, chipped or rusted. The only reason I am giving this 4 stars and not 5 is that since it is pretty heavy it takes a good first of wind for it to chime. I would like to hear it a little more, but it sounds great when it chimes.

I love “antique”, old and worn things. They have more character than new items. I also like whimsical things as well. This wind chime fits the bill. It has more character than regular wind chimes.I received it a few days earlier than expected.It looks and feels solid. Hefty but not heavy. The connectors between each rib are closed and I don’t see why it wouldn’t hold up in a strong wind.

Very cute fish, nice sound. It's rusting, but I expected that from the reviews and don't mind that look. I suppose if the rustic look bothers you, you could easily spray sealer only both sides or keep it out of the elements. I get a lot of nice comments on this decoration. The sound reminds me of a sailboat harbor.

A delightful gift for any fisherman. My father gave me one many years ago to commemorate the time I forgot to pull a fish out of the water and it was eaten by crabs all the way down to the bone. (I think I was five at the time and it is now a constant reminder of his love and the great times we had fishing.) It is not just good as a prank gift but gives a soft metal tinkling that withstands the weather. I absolutely love the design of my fish skeleton, but the poor little sucker has only chimes twice (that I have heard) in the year it has hung on our front porch. Once while gettung it out of the packaging to hang, and once during a horrible wind storm.Looks exactly as pictured.

This looks just like the picture. It does take a lot of wind to make it chime, which is more of a nice clink as opposed to a gong.

Rusted out and fell apart after 18 months. It was hanging under a covered porch. Poor quality, but looked nice while it lasted.
