This piece is a work of art! It’s gorgeous! One of my favorite parts is the high gloss interiors. It is so easy to wipe clean but it is a stunning contrast to the pale linear matte outer surface. The edge where the two materials meet is clean and precise. I was worried with it being a handmade product it might have a handmade crafty feel. It has the feel of every artisans spent a long time cutting, subduing, polishing, and painting to make this piece have a level of perfection close to a machine made product, but with the warmth of a man made product. It came securely double boxed in a very secure double corrugated material. A large canvas drawstring bag contained the bed and it reminded me of buying a high-end purse. You can store it or you now have a nice laundry bag. When I first revealed it an placed it on the floor, my cat’s ears perked up and here eyes were fixated! I told her to come, that the bed was hers. She quickly came to inspect. Smelling all around and inside. A gorgeous and lush velvet pillow laid inside with a subtle Fhasso tag on the side. She quickly got her 2 front paws in and sniffed all around the interior. Is this a pod from another planet? Will it swallow her whole? I assume these must have been the questions she was asking herself. She jumped out & continues her exterior inspection. Once complete, she jumped in, this time all fours an did the circle walk cats do before they sit. She sat her back but did not fully recline. I suppose she was keeping her guard up Incase the teleport device activated or if a throat suddenly appeared and the hole started to close. For now, sitting was good enough. She seemed to enjoy the seat. She chose it over the electric blanket, her heated cat home, her alpha spaceship, and what I believe to be her favorite of all, my lap. For the first hour of having the Fhasso bed it has far exceeded my expectations, that were sky high to begin with. Thank you for making beautiful cat furniture that it seems my cat will love.

UPDATE: the company processed a refund without me even requesting it, which was a pleasant surprise. Thank you! Given the company’s generous resolution on their own initiative, I am bumping them up one star.This is my first Amazon review because I feel more people need to admit the faults of this bed. Way too wobbly. My cat cannot even lay in it without it tipping over and rolling on its side. The bed is beautiful but not practical. The inside is very smooth and shiny which causes any type of blanket or cushion (even the one provided) to slip all over the place when the cat attempts to lay down. Also, definitely do not put this bed in high places because it will tip over easily and come crashing down. Thankfully my cat didn’t get hurt in the process but the bed did. The bamboo is all cracked now. My cat doesn’t use the bed at all and it’s been collecting dust for almost 8 months now. He does like to play with the cushion as a toy though! So that’s a plus haha. For the price, it is absolutely not worth it in my opinion based on the inside being too slippery for a cat to get comfortable and the fact that if the cat doesn’t position his weight oh so perfectly (which I do not even know how to do so) the bed will tip on it’s side. I believe there is a newer model of this bed that takes the high tipping sensitivity into consideration. I suggest looking for that bed instead. If it wasn’t such a hassle to return such a large item I would have returned it months ago.

Ok so first of all, it's a beautiful cat bed. Really cool looking, stunning color (i got the milk color), fits my space super well. However the thing is ridiculously light weight and topples over whenever my small cat tries to get into it. It wobbles, it slides, and the velvet pillow slides right up the wall. My cat was interested and curious about it at first until she tried to step in it, and then NOPED out as fast as possible. Which is a total bummer.I feel like I can try to DIY the bed to make it more sturdy. Because it is beautiful.Edit: changed my stars. The company contacted me and worked it out. Thank you so much. Normally that does not happen. What a wonderful company. I hope the bed works out for others, it truly is beautiful/a work of art despite it's light weight ❤

My elderly cat LOVES this bed so much. We did have to put some little silicone "dots" underneath to keep it from wobbling or spinning when she climbs in or out. You could also probably use the felt dots designed for the bottom of furniture legs. We keep the bed in the living room and she loves to nap in it as well as just spend time hanging out. It looks stylish and most importantly, it seems to make her feel secure.The 1st bed we ordered arrived and was broken - the bamboo "pod" had cracked and a huge chunk had broken off. We returned it and managed to get an intact bed with the 2nd attempt. Unfortunately, we tried a 3rd time as we wanted to get another one to keep in the bedroom, but this one too arrived and was broken. Interestingly, the 2 broken ones arrived and looked as though they had been previously purchased/returned based on the level of packaging/padding.
