A must have for plugs
While working on a Mini Cooper, I need to replace a plug located in the head that is between coolant and the engine oil. It is a very hard to access location and a very, lets say, interesting design.I only wanted to do this job one time. For the reassurance and extra protection, I used this core sealant to make sure the plug wouldn't fail again. It worked like a charm. No complaints about the product.

Worth the money! Works as advertised
After having issues with the core plugs on my l28 seeping after install I did some poking around on the forums and was lead to this product. It's the only product designed specifically for core plugs that I could find that was easily accessible for someone like myself.I read over and over to install core plugs with no sealant of any kind, but once I spent some time on some serious engine builders forums I ran into a lot people saying that if you're installing core plugs on an old engine or you're replacing core plugs that rotted out it's a good idea to use a sealer. Many people recommended "Indian head" sealer but I wanted something designed for core plugs if I could get it.When a machine shop presses core plugs into a freshly hot tanked block or a block that they machined the core plug mating surface on the mating surfaces are going to be almost immaculately clean and the need for a sealer is non existent. If you're like me and you're slapping some bronze plugs into a 45 year old motor that sat not running for twenty years with the cooling system full of coolant, trust me when I say it's worth your time and effort to use this product. Worth every penny

Very good sealant.
I used this on freeze (expansion) plugs on a 1999 Ford 5.4L engine. It works extremely well, almost permeant. Note, it only hardens between metal; so any on the surface of the block is going to stay a liquid.

Not for 2-cycle gas contact - turns to white flakes.
Used for a 2-cycle Zama carburetor welch plug. Used primer/activator designed for his sealant.... let cure for over 30 hours before reassembling and putting gas/oil in it.Carb worked for a few hours then had issues (acting like clogging issues).Upon disassembly, I found that the gas/oil mix (50:1) had partly dissolved the sealant and had turned it into a white flaky substance. The flakes had clogged the carb jets.Do not use for gas/oil contact! (Gas was <10% ethanol content).Use Loctite 540 instead.
