I was worried I wouldn't like the pan because of the reviews, but since it's just me and my husband, I was needing a smaller bread pan than the average size so I decided to give this a try.I've been buying bread mixes for my bread maker from Prepared Pantry. I have loved the convenience and all the varieties of mixes. But a loaf is too large for us now. I got my half-pound bread pan in today and gave it try. I divided the mix in half and put it through the bread maker on the dough setting, and when it was done, I took the dough, kneaded it just enough to work out bubbles, shaped and put in my little pan (I sprayed the loaf pan with Pam Cooking Spray before use). After rising for one hour, I baked at 350 for 25 minutes (the package mix says to bake for 30 minutes for a full loaf if you use the oven). It slid right out of the pan and the bread turned out perfect. . My husband is going to love this.

This is a really nice pullman bread pan. The fit & finish are nice plus the lid fits well. This requires an extra cleaning ritual to oven dry it and oil all surfaces but it should last forever if you follow the recommended routine. Note the the vent holes in the bottom make heat dustribtion and moisture ventilation uniform throughout your loaf & is especially needed for dense doughs. This is feature not found on all pans. I hope future buyers can avoid the $50 price tag necessitated but unfair steel tariffs that are always passed on to consumers no matter publicity to the contrary.

The pan is heavy and very sturdy, exactly what I am looking for. My old one (different brand) needed to be lined and the dough is not rising enough so I have to get a new one. Haven't used this yet and hoping the dough won't stick.
