Wonderful!
This book covers all you want to know about wabi sabi. I loved the way Beth weaved her own tales and experiences as she learned this lifestyle. I have been wabi-curious and confused and now I am ready to start slowing down and practicing.

Such a Beautiful book!
I have never been so impressed with the look of a hardcover book! I just opened the package so I have not read any of it yet. But have looked through the pages and am familiar with Wabi Sabi and it is filled with information. Can't wait to settle in with. The cover is beautiful no need for a dust jacket it is constructed well and the painting on the front is awesome. Part of the painting on front is with gold ink painting and Japanese writing. I only wish the book had been wrapped in bubble wrap before mailing. It was in a lined bag, but all four opening corners got badly damaged.

Excellent Introduction
Excellent introduction to the Japanese idea of wabi sabi. It is a difficult topic to pin down exactly, and Kempton does a fine job of offering a new take on the idea. Modern readers will be best served by wabi sabi insofar that US society, in particular, is driven to a point of breaking. Slowing down, enjoying imperfection, realizing change is important can all help one appreciate the ideas Kempton presents.

Wonderful introduction to Wabi Sabi
The author is well versed in Japanese culture and spent a lot of time to understand Wabi Sabi from a Western perspective. It’s about much more than appreciating the beauty of broken or aged things. After reading this book, I feel I have a much more profound understanding of this philosophy. It is one that could enrich many lives. Learning to appreciate what you already have is a part of it.Highly recommended to those wishing to expand their own awareness.

Lovely Read for a Perfectly Imperfect World
Wabi Sabi...life is impermanent, incomplete and imperfect but this "complete and perfect" book will "live on and on."If you know nothing about Wabi Sabi read this book. If you know a great deal about Wabi Sabi read this book. It is just wonderful in its introducing the subject and its constantly shaping the concept, by giving many different perspectives. It is and easy read, rich and artistic, and written by a person who not only studied Wabi Sabi but has truly lived it.Buy it, read it, and share its concepts with others. They've probably have never heard of Wabi Sabi. Sit them down in a quiet, dimly lighted room with a cup of tea and enjoy.
