Noisy
Suction power is not bad but a little noisy.

So far so good
I just have a large rug and bathroom rugs so it was perfect for me. Not good for large carpeted house. It doesn't glide very well especially on the bathroom rugs but gets under the couch and bed to get dust and hair which is what I needed it for. If you have a large carpet or house I wouldn't recommend it because it's awkward when gliding on some surfaces and could cause low back issues. Also I am not that tall so it's good for my height. Some things to just consider if you purchase. Also I usually have one's with plastic resevoir so I just empty the bags after use because they are a limited supply but its kind of folded on a ring when inserted so I can't imagine another bag from another brand wouldn't also work.

Trusted vacuum
If you don’t know it yet, IRIS is the top light weight or portable vacuum brand over there in Japan. I didn’t know that they had US branch; and my wife found it on Amazon, then we clicked “order now” right away.As expected, the suction power is great considering it’s size, and the rotating wheeled vacuum tip is great for rugs, as well as hard wood floors. This vacuum is not chargeable, uses good old power code. That means, you don’t worry about suction power going low towards the end of your cleaning session.I use it for my 3br house and had no problem or whatsoever.

Perfect for small apartment
I am really impressed with this vacuum, it's so light and easy to handle. I have a small one bedroom apartment with hardwood floors and it works great. It sucks up all the Styrofoam from new furniture just fine. Kind of weird you can't buy replacement bags on Amazon, I found their website that has them though. I've been vacuuming a-lot lately and the bag isn't full yet so hopefully the bags that came with will last at least a year.

Light, fairly strong suction, no narrow nozzle for spot cleaning, and can't seem to find vacuum bags for sale
For such a lightweight vacuum, it has pretty decent suction power. It obviously can't compare with an upright vacuum, and the brushes won't agitate the carpet to get dust out more efficiently. It works best on small spaces, stairs, inside the car.My biggest criticism of the vacuum is that it lacks a narrow nozzle like most vacuums. This makes it harder to pick up things like sand from the carpeting inside the car. The cord is also fairly short, only about 12 ft long, so if you don't have outlets conveniently located where you want to vacuum, get an extension cord (no ground needed).About 25 disposable vacuum bags are provided. However, they are tiny. After cleaning both cars, the bag is about half filled. And I can't seem to find where to get replacement bags. The motor is fairly loud. I definitely recommend hearing protection (or at least sound isolating earbuds) when using it. It also generates a fair bit of static, and after use, there's a fine layer of dust stuck on the outside. The motor also generates a fair amount of heat, and you can feel it after a few minutes of use. I didn't have any problem running it for about 15 minutes though. For cleaning hard surfaces, I find a Swiffer to be much faster and efficient. This would be more useful for carpeted surfaces, but again I really wish they have a narrow nozzle attachment. I tried using the one from my Hoover but it doesn't fit.Assuming that vacuum bags can be found, I'd only recommend this for a small apartment or for specific uses - like in a car / RV.

Just OK
OK, let's get the big problem out of the way first. A 13-foot cord. Really. That's not very long. You cannot even clean a kitchen without unplugging and plugging in various outlets with that short of a cord. And light cleanup, like a kitchen is mainly all this is good for. The capacity is small, and the vacuum power is light. It works great for light cleanup (dust and light debris) but is not good for any heavier duty stuff. It's fairly well made and everything works as it should, but in this price range, I expected a bit more. It's very flexible in use, which is good and the smaller handheld unit is nice and useful for quick cleanups. But this thing is very noisy and just does not feel up to it's price level to me. Another downer is that the bags are not reusable, but disposable. That's old hat these days. They do give you 25 free, but they won't last all that long because they are small and fill quickly. The short cord cost it one star in itself. It has been a constant pain for me. I think this vacuum is just OK, overall, so 3 stars.

Almost perfect for its intended use
I'd give this 4.5 stars, because it's almost perfect for its intended use. You have to realize it's not a one-device solution for all your floor-cleaning needs. I have a standard upright vacuum cleaner for my carpets, but I have an equal amount of hardwood flooring, and I didn't want to keep running the spinning brush of my standard vacuum over the newly-stained wood for fear of scratches or damage. Here's where the Iris Lightweight Vacuum is just right: sucking up light dust, hair, etc., off hardwood floors and cleaning baseboards, couches, stuffed chairs, etc.. It uses pure suction, not a spinning brush. And I find it much easier, quicker and more effective than a Swiffer, which I also use on the wood floors. When you remove the extension, a brush folds and snaps into place and is perfect for brushing and vacuuming the tops and fronts of baseboards, and since mine are white, they show all the dust and grime. The Irish is a quick and easy fix, because the brush dislodges the grime and dust, and the suction removes it. It's very light and easy to handle, and despite other reviews, I don't find it any louder than other vacuums. The suction is surprisingly strong for such a light motor. I think it's worth the price. My only con: the "extra-long cord" of which they speak measures 13 feet, which isn't as long as it sounds. I have to plug it into five different outlets which vacuuming my 1,700-square-foot home. Not a big deal, but once, when I unwittingly pulled too hard as the cord stretched to its max, one of the plug prongs bent under the strain. So be cautious about that.
