As we drew the leviathan closer to the shore, we were stricken by its size - in 40 years of surf fishing, I had never seen anything that BIG brought in!We made plans for its release. We decided to leave it in the water and cut the line as close to the hook as possible (in salt water, hooks rust/dissolve rather quickly and sometimes it is safer for the fish to do this). As we drew it closer, the stingray's massiveness was apparent - easily would cover the hood of a car. Nervously, I reached out for the line with the stingray at my feet. I grabbed the line with a gloved hand, and...The hook broke.DO NOT BUY CHEAP HOOKS.

Content appears to be genuine Owner hooks, but 8/0 pro pack has 30 hooks (not 32). Maybe someone in shipping likes to fish!

Best hooks I’ve found for striped bass. Stay sharp for multiple fish and I’ve never broke one. Also buying in bulk is much cheaper than west marine or other tackle shops.
