Shiro SH-119 Flip-up Full Face Helmet (Matte Black & Fluorescent Yellow,L)

Edit: Very low on quality, it has started falling apart already!A couple of points before i start. I own below helmets already:1. First gen LS2 FF352 phobia (2010 model), not in use any more but quality & finish of the helmet is just too good.2. Latest Gen LS2 FF302 matt black full face helmet. Quality & finish are 2 steps above the LS2 1st gen that i own.3. Latest Gen LS 2 Tom Cat open face helmet with dual visor. Quality & finish are again as good as LS2 302.The next in line is AGV :)Now, since I'm used to the LS2 top of the line helmets quality level, my review will be a little tough on quality & finish.I bought this helmet since i needed s good helmet for long rides & i feel flip open functionality helps a lot during short stop overs.First, the good:1. The brand name.2. The moment you unbox the helmet, you can see the quality & finish of the outer shell is just awesome.3. The outer visor is also too good when compared to others in the same range.4. The pricing is just spot on! I was sold on the pricing.5. The helmet flip up latch is up front & is ergonomically placed & very easy to operate.6. The inner liner is completely removable & washable.7. Looks very beautiful!Now the bad:1. Straight out of the box, the cost cutting is evident, the felt cover that the helmet comes in is way too cheap for a brand like Shiro, even Indian made brands give a better one.2. The inner finish of the helmet leaves a lot to be desired (even when compared to my 1st get LS2 FF352).3. The quality check before dispatch is just phenomenally bad. The black covering at the front of the inner lining is not stuck properly & peeling off. The inner visor was not set properly & was loose, hence, the inner visor operating switch was not working. Nothing that can't be fixed here, i fixed it easily but not expected from Shiro. The liner can be fixed using adhesive but that's not expected from a new helmet. And all these defects were there straight out of the box!What could have been there:1. I sorely missed the breath deflector. If not with helmet, it could be sold seperately at least.Final verdict:Overall, a great helmet at a very competitive pricing, but, leaves a lot to be desired on the quality of the inner lining.

However, that seems to have reached a roadblock. I recently ordered a Shiro SH-119 Flip-up Full Face Helmet, hoping it to suit my needs of a safe and reliable helmet. Unfortunately, nothing of that sort was experienced with this helmet. It all began when the helmet was delivered to me with a broken visor. Let's assume that it broke during transit. Giving a benefit of doubt, I immediately made a request for it to be replaced and thankfully the Amazon team did the same. I did get a replacement in 2-3 days which was impressive. However, after barely using it for less than 30 days, the visor mounting has disengaged from the helmet. Now this is something that is not acceptable. Fortunately, this happened when the helmet was not in use. Can you imagine a scene if I had been riding and this would have happened, perhaps resulting in a fatal motorcycle accident. Who would have been responsible for the unseen consequence? The helmet manufacturer or the so called reputed online portal "Amazon" that has earned the trust of so many, literally taking it for a "ride". I fail to understand why should a brand like this e allowed to list its poorly made products on Amazon, affecting its well established credentials. I have attached the photos of my defective helmet and would suggest all to boycott it, unless you don't value life. On a bad note i would say to all stop believing what Amazon is giving its trust on product on television to all AMAZONWALLE

A nice snug fit helmet..feels safe when u wear it. The locking mechanism can be a little tricky for the first few uses. The dual visor works efficiently.Cons:The inner goggle visor is too loose and affects the vision when not in use.The first helmet delivered was cracked, but was replaced immediately

Whereas the fit and finish is a concern and a lot is desired. The locking of full flip-up is not working sometimes and you can just push it up sometimes by push of a finger without pulling down locking mechanism. The gears for white transparent visor is working but the gears are definitely not strong at all. The inner googles or sun visor is working properly with its latch. Inner lining had gaps !! revealing white therm cool !! I could have returned the bloody helmetm but for lack of time and cumbersome procedure to follow. I had been using LS2 helmet , a very solid one but I had a recent crash on my Ninja 650cc and the helmet took the full hit and impact and saved my life. I could have again purchased LS2 but at the cost of SHIRO you won't get it.

Just arrived and found sun visor is not in position . No D ring is found at this price tag. In front of chin only thin plastic is there. Only One side strap is adjustable. Cushioning is not up to the mark at this price. I have wasted my money, in fact in half of that price studds and steelbird provide better with ISI certifications. Riding time review will be published later.

Was broken on arrival and did not get a chance to test-ride with it. Looked flimsy and weak though. I do not think this Shirt brand is much good.

first got the damaged product. sun visor was stuck inside with broken button !!! I was highly disappointed but, the seller was kind enough to provide replacement in just 2 days !!! a must buy for long tours, though, I own SMK but its so convenient to have DOT approved flip ups and that too at just Rs. 1700 !!!
