IBDJust Gel Nail Polish, Black Lava, 0.5 Fluid Ounce

I give this 5 stars due to the things I consider extremely important in a gel polish.#1 is opacity. This polish took 2 coats to be opaque. That's wonderful!#2 is application. This polish applied wonderfully. Not streaky or too runny. Didn't pool in the cuticle area.#3 is shrink back. This polish has ZERO shrink back. As long as you cap the free edge as usual, there's no shrinking issues.#4 is price. You can't beat the price of IBD Just Gel polishes. They are all very reasonably priced.#5 is lasting power. This polish lasted 2 weeks and 4 days, zero chipping, cracking or peeling. Its looked flawless for the entire manicure.Black lava will now be my go to black gel Polish. Its simply black, no shimmer or frost. Its better than some of the expensive black gels I've tried and lasts way longer and applies better. Also the brush is in my opinion one of the best. Not too big, not too small. Doesn't make a mess of my cuticles :)

Incredibly affordable and actually goes on a rich black color!! I was nervous bc I had recently purchased a black gel no chip polish from Sally Hansen. It was super watery as if someone tried to cut it with a clear liquid. I bought another one (of the Sally Hansen) and the same thing happened. After five coats of the color, I could never get a solid dark black coat on my nail. It was a mess. This IBD polish goes on exactly as I wanted! Would definitely recommend and will buy more from them!* one weird thing to note...while shoveling in cold temps of Chicago last week from the arctic vortex... I did notice that my nail beds hurt after being outside even with gloves on. Not sure if this would have happened with any gel polish given the windchill of -40 below ... But will try to pay attention the next time I'm out in the cold just to check...

Really love the color. It does take two coats, sometimes 3, just make sure instead of shaking the bottle, to turn it upside down for a bit so the color at the bottom can spread to the top and roll between your hands to distribute the pigment, then set back down for a min. Don't shake it! If you roll it around so the pigment can disperse correctly, you color will come out flawless!!

Love this gel namebrand and can’t go wrong with a solid black. Def use a base base coat and top coat and this color status about a week and then you’ll just do individual nail touch-ups at home.

I’ve tried to love IBD. I have at least 3 of their polishes as well as the base. I just don’t think they work well. They pool, streak, and this weird thing happens where I’ll paint a perfect cuticle area and then before I even move onto the next finger, it moves. Like it shrinks or something and suddenly there is no polish where I put it. Super weird and annoying. It also takes at least 4 coats and I hate that. Idk if it was the polish or if maybe I did something else wrong (tons of variables in a gel manicure) but they started peeling and chipping the very next day. That doesn’t happen when I use lechat so I’m hard pressed to believe it was something else I did. It’s a shame because the price is great and the color selection is amazing but I’m not going to waste any more time with this brand.

I ordered the IBD black lava color and I have no complaints about it at all. It took three coats for it to be completely opaque. The consistency was fine and easy to apply. I’m very happy with this polish.

I am not sue if this is a genuine ibd gel polish.The lid is totally different to all my other ibd gel polishes. Saying that it goes on fine. Maybe it has just been sent from america, or it could even be old stock. The co-owner from a company who supply's ibd just gel polishes in the UK, comes into my college, to take orders from the students. Next time I see her I will ask, Or I may phone the company. It needs 3 to 4 thin coats but I would expect that with black. I love the colour it is a lovely shiny solid black. So far I have had no problems at all with it. I would happily order this again. UPDATE apparently the ones with the fatter lids are the new stock.

A lovely black that goes on beautiful, nice big bottle too.

nunca he tenido problemas con esta marca ni este vendedor hasta ahora, este gel en concreto, no se si por el color u otra cosa, no hay manera de que se seque ni uv, ni LED ni 30 segundos ni 3 minutos. Me fastidia mucho porque no es nada barato y lo tengo q tirar.
