I was bit worried initially after looking at reviews to buy this device or not, but after I have ordered and using this device as per the instructions, it's working perfectly fine, Just make sure to keep the room dark, no human movements in the room should be there when it's switched on, and switch off the Fan or AC, and keep this device just a bit in height, like a work table. That's it, you need not wait for 2 hours and all as per the instructions, just 20 mins I have seen this working. And yes don't open the lid to check , mosquitoes might fly away, so open next day to check.Only cons is , it's having USB now, so need to have a mobile charger device. This is plus point also, as power will not be more, and this device might work for more months as power is less with mobile chargers.

1. It doesn't kill mosquito, just traps them and ultimately they die while trying to escape due to running fan2. Product is delicate. If you get problem with any item , the whole product is a plastic waste because you won't find replacement for items.3. In my case, it didn't last more than 2 months. Purchased in March'21 and stopped working yesterday (May'21).4. The cost of product (900+) is exhorbitant compare to utility and longevity.Edit :5. I tried to reach Amazon for replacement of this item, they couldn't help me with it.6. Did some research and found the number of seller. They want to send the product to them using own money and then they will send the replacement. The cost of sending product from my place to seller is above 400. This is half of new item price. Why would anybody prefer that?Both Amazon and seller need to workout to ensure customer doesn't face such hardship after spending around 1000 rupees for this product.

It took some time for me to understand the operating instructions for this device. Initially I was confused to see no mosquitoes being trapped and thought it doesnt work and I also placed a return request with Amazon. However after contacting the the seller, I made some adjustments to the usage based on their instructions. In my case I found that operating it close to a ceiling fan makes it ineffective. I used this device with the ceiling fan switched off and it worked and did catch mosquiotoes. Some detailed operating instructions that I received from the seller are pasted below as reference for future buyers.I think this is a very good device that uses no chemicals like most other repellants. It does not work if the room is lit , it does not work when the fan in running or if the device is placed in the flow area of AC . Has to be placed 1-2 feet above the ground preferably in a corner place . this wont work either if the place is having human movement either . Basically the blue light attracts the mosquitos and the fan just sucks them inside and traps them in the bottom container , fan doesnt kill the mosquitos , so better not to open the container for 3-4 days so the mosquitos just dies , later the container can be cleared . Fan or Light , if either one of them fails and that will be end story , if ur DIY skills are good u can find replacements and repair . Writing this review after 3 months of usage , i have placed this machine in the living room corner and switch on once the lights are out , it has done a right job , attached picture is one week harvest . i clear the container once a week or so , the light is moderately bright , more than a light lamp , if you prefer complete dark in bedroom , then switch on for 2 hours before sleeping with all lights off and switch off the machine before u sleep .ConsWIre length

I have been this type of mosquito catcher for the last six months. It has been very effective to get rid of mosquitos that sneake into the bed room before we close the doors to turn on Ac. Once we close the door then they get active at mid-night and start sucking our blood when we are in deep sleep. Now almost all the mosquito are caught by the device before they could bite us. So I wanted to add one more similar model. I ordered this Hunter model even though it was very expensive for its simple design and lower cost of manufacturing. But when I received it I noticed that it is different from my previous model. 1. It does not have the inner cover like my old one. This is a design flaw. The inner cover trps the mosquito like keeping them in a cage. Even mosquito that have not killed still cant fly out. 2. The light used is a small size white tube light rather than a blue light. This does not attract mosquito as good as the blue light and it is also very bright disturbing our sleep. Overall I feel it is a poorly designed model sold at a heavy price. There are better model available at lower price. I suggest people to opt for them instead of this one.
