Not bad, read better.
Chapters 1 - 5Samurai Deeper Kyo is quite a long manga series. It runs for 38 volumes.I sadly only have 9 to hand since Tokyo Pop seizes to exist.I was recommended the series by my Iaido teacher, David Collins.Art wise, Akimine Kamijyo has quite successfully captured a comical upbeat appearance with character, with a series dark side when necessary. There is plenty of detail and variation with characters.Though I am trying my hardest to ignore the boobs and enjoy the story, the 2 main female characters boobs are made quite obvious. Thankfully though, they don't intrude of the action scenes in the chapters. (phew)I currently find Yuya Shiina quite bland and boring. She's on a mission to travel West, I don't really seem to care why or what for. Saying that, I do find Demon Eyes Kyo and Mibu Kyoshiro intriguing. Why is it that they share the same body?I am very fond of my Japanese sword, and if that's what attracted you to this Manga like it did me, I don't think you'd be disappointed. Not the worlds greatest first Manga, that I have read. But entertaining, none the less.

This is a MUST for all Manga Fans out there............
This is the first volume of the Samurai Deeper Kyo Manga Graphic Novel Series. (Incase you dont know what a graphic Novel is, its basically similair to a comic book but it has a deep story line like a navel.)This Manga has LOADS of Comedy and Action in it which will want you to carry on reading and also want you to collect the rest of series.Another cool feature of this manga is the fact that they kept it in its original Japanese form ( meaning that It reads from right to left) and all of the text is the proper translated meaning. With all the Manga Books available nowadays you cant really make a choice of which one to get, but this one will definatly be worth your money and most importantly it will be a good choice. So once again i recommend this book to all Manga fans or even if you want to start getting into manga.

Dissapointing
The art looked good and the lighthearted nature of this manga caught my interest at first, but after reading into it some more, the storyline is hard to keep track of and very rushed, and the dialogue seems to have little bearing on the events going on around it in some cases. Entirely failed to keep my interest.
