Electro-Voice Evolve 50 Short Column Speaker Pole, Black

Works perfect! Now I can stick em in the corner without hitting ceiling. When you gig, you can use the tall ones. They were very expensive in my opinion. I tried very hard to find them cheaper than $100. No used ones for sale either. You have no choice.

The price is high but it's designed for a purpose. One place I perform at only has a 7 foot sealing to work under so you can't assemble the system using the standard pole, so the short column is a necessity. It works well but appears to not handle feedback as well as the standard height column. It's not a major problem, you just can't have the system right next to you. If you are a musician that performs under many adverse conditions the short column becomes a necessity.

Why in the world they would not make this short wand compatible with the original wands, allowing for a variety of heights to be a achieved is mystifying. You either are 15" tall, or 48" tall, with no in between. Really poor planning and design for an otherwise good PA system.

It does what it has to but why oh why is it SOOOOO short. I am astonished there isn't an option for one double this size which would still be a lot shorter than the original and would still be fine in low ceiling venues.So it works fine but you may have to put the lot on a table so the sound doesn't go into everyones legs which kinda defeats the point....So, if you need a shorter pole this is your only option. Sad but true.
