StrikeSetter - College Division 1 - Home Volleyball Spike Training System

I bought this for my 13 year old who plays Club Volleyball and is looking to tryout for the high school team this summer. She is a more petite player and needs every advantage to compete with the other players for a roster spot. This ball, in the short time we have it, has helped create a remarkable change in her approach and form. Her speed is increasing as well. Still working on her vertical, but I see this is a great tool in achieving these goals. She can go outside at anytime and spend as much time as she likes practicing and improving her skills.The only challenges we have experienced so far is that the hook they give you to connect it is rather small and not large enough to get around the rim of the basketball hoop. We had to use a c-clamp. I sure there are other solutions, but it was a trial and error for us. Also, when hit at certain angles, the ball will spin around and go in the hoop. Then we have to lower it to remove it and start again. We have solved this by using the rather large playground balls in the hoop to prevent the volleyball from going in.The benefits far outweigh the minor inconveniences. My daughter has quickly adapted the workaround solution.

This is a great, cheaper alternative to a hitting tool that cost well into the $300 range. It's great for my girls to know what the difference is with reaching the ball.One con, though, is that the hook that you are supposed to use to attach to the basketball hoop is really small and doesn't go around our basketball ring. At least not on ours, so I've had to find different ways and try and find something else to get it to latch on. You do need something in the hoop itself, I use a balance ball and try and stick it inside the hoop otherwise the ball goes in and loops itself around.One is enough for my team, but I would recommend to others who need to train their girls to hit and don't want to pay the $300.

Ball won't stay inflated after pumping it up. Crap product!

It works great and competitive daughter loves it... it is great for hitting, but the top seems to get in the way of proper hitting with the hand slightly on top of the ball at strike. However, it is great for getting reps in and throwing the ball to her and chasing them down afterward which is the reason that we bought it.

My daughters love using the Strike Setter! They spend hours in the driveway practicing with it. You won’t be disappointed!

If you have kids who are looking to improve thier striking skills...stop looking and buy this! Strike Setter is such a simple concept, I wish I had come up with the idea. It has helped our kids out immeasurably. More importantly, Strike Setter has drastically improved their confidence and competence at the net. As a coach of my daughter's volleyball team, I'm recommending it to everyone on our team, their parents, and our club's commisioner. Buy this...it helps!!

Wow can not say wnought about this product. It has helped improve my athletes approach and swing as well as her vertical. Great way to practice at home with out snagging. However the clip that attaches it to the rim could be a little bit larger

Works as advertised. Good for some "alone" training and repitition. Only negative would be to an adjustable cord instead of having to adjust the "structure is connected to.
