Purita Elegance 68W Room Air Purifier with Very High CADR :308 M3/Hr and Digital Air Quality Display (Perfect for Large Rooms Upto 400 Sqft) White, PC1912

One of the best in the market. This is the first air purifier that we bought, after the pollution levels in the city started skyrocketing this year. There are so many brands and so much marketing fluff that it was very hard to decide which product to buy. Unless you have seriously health compromised individuals in the household, all of the "UV / Ultraviolet radiation", and "anti-bacterial etc." are a total waste of money. The key for us was realizing that the essence of air purifying is to save the lungs, and so we converged on something with a HEPA filter (for removing tiny PM2.5 particles) and activated carbon (which is the best and most natural way to eliminate organic vapors, smells, smoke, etc.) If you have "bacteria" in the air in your house, you have a bigger problem and should not depend on an "air filter" to clean it out (just our personal opinion). This unit has an "ionizer" if you are into that kind of thing, but we do not use it. There are three fan speeds and a good indicator that tells us what the PM2.5 pollution level is. What we found is that when the pollution is high (for us it gets to about 100 or more during the day), then we keep the fan on the highest speed (3) and that brings the pollution down to about 10 or so within 10 minutes to about half and hour. We are using it in a space of about 400 square feet. Although the indicators use the Indian standards of "good" (less than about 60), we are trying to match the international standards of less than 10, so that we run the unit on high fan until the number comes to below 10, and then put it on low fan (setting 1) to save electricity and unit life. We have changed the filter units once in this 8 month period, and so one should plan on about two sets of filter units per year. Anyway, overall very happy and plan on buying more units after we finish remodeling the house. You can actually feel the ease in breathing and the elimination of smoke etc. If you are forced to live in a city, then this is a very good unit for a very good price and that is why we are giving it the best rating.

Pros:Very good CADR and can clean a large room effectively.Con:1. At night when there is no light, the system automatically goes to sleep mode. There is no way to turn this off. Hence at night the pollution levels builds up.2. When there is a . powercut, the system switches off and does not start automatically when power comes back on. This means . you will have to get up in the middle of the night to switch it on again once the power backup kicks in.

Not good product. I have sent the request to return the product well before the given date but still not get any attention and my status on Amazon is showing the window is closed.Owing to the defect in auto mode I have complained to the Customer care. On their advice they referred my complaint to the local supplier in Delhi. He advised me to put my request to Amazon for return the product.But I’m feeling cheated now. Same day another purifier from Coway I bought it is excellent and doing its job according to my needs. Purita purifier auto play mode is not working even in readable light. It automatically goes in to sleep mode in readable light. While it needs its efficiency and performance according to the pollution not according to the light comes from. So it is useless and have to use its manual mode. It has not any Pre filter to be washed. In absence of the Pre filter HEPA filter gets choked with dust and ather pollutants with in 2-3 days. Thus its HEPA filter will have to be changed with in a month. Reason behind,so far I have perceived, is the strategy of earning only by selling the filters.It must have been not more than of ₹4000/-

A really good functioning product, with real world usage. The build quality and finish is of high quality, so it can be placed anywhere at home regardless of the aesthetic background.The air circulation is good and the sensor is really sensitive enough to trigger the fan into high or low speeds based on the PM monitor. And except in the highest setting, the fan is quiet and at the Auto-low power mode fan is barely audible. This is the best value for money in this segment and the features it offers, for this price, made it an easy choice for me. The ready availability of replacement filters also helped me in this choice. It's easily portable enough.

I think it is much more than value for money.The machine seems to be very Robust & sturdy.Performance was OK & very silent.Its sensors are of Good Quality. But all its sensor lights are not working within 2 years of use & now we have to just assume the function as respective light doesn't function.I hope we get spare part for very long time as this machine seems to last for many years

It doesn't start, don't buy

Value for money. I believe it is working much better than expected. Only you need to plan for proper ventilation, and best place to set this up. Easy to install as well.

Replacement filters are real pain to get from this brand. Filters will need replacement within 3 months, without those what's the use of the rotating fans and 2 years warranty. I have been trying to reach these guys for 6 months now no response, phone switched off.Stay away from this one.
