As of writing this review, this will be my second purchase of this cologne.I've tried a couple colognes in the past, but I've never received as many compliments as I have with this cologne. Its almost unbelievable. I've had male and female uber drivers, cashiers, random people in bars go out of their way to ask what my scene was. I would say in the course of one full bottle, I've had over 100 people comment on the scent. Also, my girlfriend has started associating anything that smells like wood with my scent which drives her wild.If you enjoy the smell of a campfire or a nice, barrel-aged bourbon you will feel right at home. There is a very distinct smell of wood with a subtle hint of sweetness that is very akin to the rich notes of whiskey.Pros:- Well priced- Nicely designed- Incredibly unique smell that is universally attractive- People will start associating the smell of wood with youCons:- People might enjoy you more for your smell than your companyVerdict:Buy this.

First off, very impressed with the price from Amazon. I picked up a 1.7oz bottle of this from another store, and it was $20 more than what I paid for the 3.4oz from Amazon.This cologne has gotten rave reviews from a variety of sources, and it's for good reason. It's one of the more original scents to come out in quite awhile, and it manages to walk that fine line of being masculine without being overly musky. I have both the standard HeWood (tan bottle) and the Rocky Mountain (dark brown bottle), and they're both fantastic. The Rocky Mountain is definitely the "bolder" of the two, with the vetiver and cedar scents being much more pronounced. It's a great cologne for fall or winter, but a bit too heavy for the spring and summer months, which is when I wear the standard. Apparently there are also Ocean Wet Wood Silver Wind Woods varieties as well, but I haven't tried those yet.Bravo to DSquared2 for coming up with bold new men's scents; this one is sure to become a classic.

I was looking for a woody scent without other, often overpowering notes of citrus, flowers, vanilla, etc. He Wood is exactly what I wanted. I also checked out Gucci Pour Homme Edt (it's OK), Versace Pour Homme (overpowering citrus, not so good) and am awaiting YSL M7 Oud (suspect it also has the citrus notes).So far, my favorites are: #1 He Wood, #2 Oak (no longer available) by Bath & Body Works, #3 Sandalwood by Crabtree and Evelynn. #4Gucci.

shipped quickly. packaging looked official. product smells great, just as I remember. a few years back I went into sephora and made a bunch of samples for future cologne purchases. Hewoods stood out as my favorite; because of its earthy, woodsy, cool autumn scent. It does tend to smell a bit like dr pepper after most of the scent wafts away at the end of the night, but that's a minor complaint that nobody else seems to notice.

The scent took some getting used to, because it's unlike the colognes that I currently use on a regular basis (Cristobal, John Varvatos, Polo Double Black, Marc Jacobs). I've only used it a few times so far, but it seems to be long-lasting and fresh.A descent casual cologne.

Best smelling fragrance ever for men or women. I have bought this now at leat 3 times, and my husband smells simply delicious. I've bought other fragrances over the years, and this one is still #1 on my list. My #2 best fragrance is Issey Miyake Men's L'Eau d'Issey (unisex). This gives you an idea of my taste. Great customer service and my product arrived as expected.

Yuck! Notes of blah blah blah with lingering blah blah blah. Smells like old baby powder and gave me a headache. I've spent a lot of time in the woods and never smelt anything like this! Unless I passed a trash can with a baby diaper in it. Lasts a long time and after I tried it wished it didn't last at all! I was really looking forward to getting and wearing this now I'm just looking forward to the smell going away.

This scent got me back into wearing a fragrance after 25 years. A friend of mine from Canada turned me on to it. It was like pulling teeth to get him to tell me what it was, but since we live in different countries, he was willing to give me it's name. It has become my "signature scent" and now I find myself hesitating to reveal to people what I'm wearing...which I get asked every time I do. Unlike any other scent out there. It lasts all day and night but never overbearing. Very sexy stuff!
