The Vilgoss comfort memory foam travel pillow worked really well. I recently used often on a trip to Europe and was very comfortable for me.On the airplane:We flew KLM & Delta and had no issues with the neck pillow. Many reviewers cited that it is stiff, but I found it very comfortable. The memory foam worked well without loosing too much of it's stiffness over time. The pillow is a bit bulky so I'm not sure I would recommend it for smaller sized individuals - i'm 6'1" and 215lbs. The pillow was most comfortable when the seat was fully reclined - while the seat was upright, i found it pushed my neck too forward. I was able to rest my neck back as well as sideways without much discomfort. On one flight (Boeing 737), seat didn't recline as much as the other 2 flights and neck pillow became uncomfortable over time.On a tour bus:I used this pillow while traveling between cities on Europe via tour bus and it worked well. Was most comfortable when seat reclined fully.Pros:Stiff and comfortable memory foam. I like the contour of the pillow which made it easier for me to rest my head sideways as well as backwards.Cons:Probably more suitable for larger individuals as it is more bulkier than traditional neck pillows. My wife preferred the more traditional styled-pillow. My biggest gripe has to do with lack of strap of case to attach to backpack. I had to either carry the pillow or stuff it in my backpack which took most of the space.

Verdict is still out on this. Bought as a present for my mom to replace her pathetically flattened old neck pillow. She sleeps with this type of pillow nightly for TMJ and it really helps her jaw--so I expected the orthopedic support from this item to be just what she needs. Her initial reaction was good, then I found out that she wasn't using it because of the offgassing foam smell. Now I hear that there is a sharp spot beside the zipper that she has to be careful to avoid. It's been a few days. We'll see. Sigh.

Material shell is comfortable, though the memory foam inside is pretty stiff. they are almost too stiff for total comfort!

This is a great neck pillow, the merchant shipped it quickly, and it is a quality product. I like the fact that it is more open than most and doesn't make you feel like you're being strangled, but it still gives your neck plenty of support. The only thing that keeps me from giving it 5 stars is that, like most memory foam, it heats up with long-term skin contact and can make you sweat. But it's nothing a cotton cover can't remedy. My wife is a LMT, and we've found that a face cradle cover (for a massage table) works well for that purpose.

too hard and too high, ended up using it as a pillow instead of neck pillow. bad design and uncomfortable, bad product.

I'm 6'2" tall and it is very difficult for me to be comfortable on long flights. The other neck pillows I've used have been too soft and have not given proper support. What I really like about this travel pillow is that it has the perfect firmness and thickness to allow my neck to be properly supported. In addition, the front sides of the pillow have a slight rise to them which gives me wonderful support should my head fall to either side if I happen to fall asleep while using it. It's a pleasure to no longer have any neck pain after a 5 hour flight. You won't regret buying this pillow.

This pillow is very, very firm. Leaning your head back isn't really possible with it around your neck, it barely compresses at all. That said, if that's what you want, then this is the pillow for you. For me personally it was a little bit too much.

This is very soft and pliable, as you'd expect from a memory foam pillow. However, unless your head is arranged on your body at 45 degree forward angle, this pillow us nearly impossible to use in an airplane or bus. Now, if your chin DOESN'T touch your navel, but you wish it did, travel with this pillow and soon you can inspect the recesses of your bellybutton without the aid of a mirror.
