A Refreshing Take on Bipolar
The book takes a unique look at what silver lining there is to bipolar disorder. It doesn't say that bipolar is a good thing, rather that we should be aware of and capitalise on certain traits that bipolars tend to do better in. Someone with bipolar might expect to be better at brainstorming, more creative, display more empathy that their peers. The "findings" come from training sessions run by the author, they reflect the experiences of a group of bipolar people. A very interesting book, not in the traditional self-help mode, very thought provoking.

Bipolar Advantage - a very thought provoking read
I started this book in a sceptical vein. I read the first half while on holiday. I soon became captured by the concept and thought-provoking nature of the author's writing. I am not a big reader. A friend of mine is working for Tim Wootton and she mentioned the book. It is well written and a bit manic. I guess that is the point. I think he lost the plot towards the end, but I wouldn't hold that against him. It is not for the easily shocked amongst us and equally not for the manic amongst us. I recommend this book as a good read for any bipolars, their nearest and dearest, and interested friends. The writing itself gives a rare insight into the bipolar at work.
