A GOOD AFTERSHAVE FOR THE PRICE
A very shuttle scent that lasts a while. For the price, give it a try!

Cheap, strong smell (IMHO)
My barber uses Stephan Bay Rum aftershave at his shop, which I instantly took a liking to the first time I visited. He was nice enough to pour me a Mason jar's worth to take home from his huge jug at work. Nearing the end of that jar recently, I decided to visit Amazon and buy a bottle for myself. After reading reviews of both the Stephan Bay Rum and Spicy aftershaves, though, I decided to give the Spicy a try.Alas, my gamble didn't pay off. For my tastes, the Stephan Spicy After Shave Cologne smells cheap - I'd characterize the scent as half baby powder, and half low-end cologne that you'd find on the counter in the type of bathroom that has an attendant.Compounding the issue is that the odor is strong - much stronger than the Stephan Bay Rum product. Interestingly, the low strength of the Bay Rum was one of the complaints that other reviewers cited when describing that product. In my younger days, I would have agreed. Then again, I also thought back then that it was attractive for the ladies standing upwind of me to be able to smell me coming. Nowadays, for the sake of the people around me, I prefer a subtle scent that is undetectable except at an intimate distance (and prefer that they do me the same courtesy when applying their own cologne / perfume). The Spicy scent is too potent for me.Of course, scent is one of those things that is entirely personal preference. Therefore, this product neither smells inherently good nor bad; it's just not for me. If you're trying to imagine what this smells like from reading reviews, you probably can't; you'll just have to try it for yourself. Most reviewers seem to like it, so you'll probably be happy with your order. For reference, for an old-time scent, I prefer the Stephan Bay Rum (as mentioned above), and for something more modern I wear Burberry Touch. If you like those two scents, you might want to avoid the Stephan Spicy.Lastly, as an aftershave... well, I haven't actually shaved since receiving the bottle yet. It'll probably be a few more days until my stubble gets itchy enough for me to spend a half-hour sharpening the straight razor and dispensing with my facial hair. Based on it's consistency, volatility, and ingredient list, though, I expect the Stephan Spicy to perform like other alcohol-based aftershaves. It'll probably sting, then evaporate away quickly without providing any subsequent protection. I generally prefer lotion-type aftershaves for actually soothing/protecting my skin. Unfortunately, the L'Oreal Men's Expert product that I used for so many years seems to have changed formula (much thicker and hard to rub in), so I'm taking an excursion into old timey alcohol aftershaves for a while - until I've had some fun and strike out to find a real lotion again.Apologies in advance to my family and colleagues while I work my way through this sizeable bottle of Stephan Spicy aftershave. I promise I'll switch back to Stephan Bay Rum after this.

Mediocre at best
For me, this didn't hit the mark. Smells like soap to me. Stephan 320 is far superior.

Great product careless manufacturer of the container
The product is great, but the bottle by the manufacturer is terrible. The contents of the bottle leaked. I have had problems with this same company before. The seller is not at fault. That is the reason for the three stars. I lost about 25% of the contents.

Very good product
this after shave is a very good product and a great deal for the price. The only thing I have to say negative about it is that the aroma doesn't last long enough. It fades to quickly but again I do love the scent.

Good stuff
I meant to order Stephans Bay Rum, instead I got the "Spicy Aftershave Cologe" it turned out to be a good mistake. The Spicy Aftershave is a wonderful product. It's an old fashioned aftershave with a light, spicy scent. It smells like you just left the barber shop. I can't say enough about this aftershave. It's cool , refreshing, and smells great.

Not like Old Spice
Fresh and spicy. Not like Old Spice, though.

Good stuff
A good all around aftershave. Light fragrance that you can use anytime, but will not overwhelm those around you. Great price and quantity.
