Must read!
Anyone who knows me, knows how difficult i am to please as a reader !but this author truly wove her magic with her pen. The author's storytelling is stunningly engrossing and every scene is so intricately woven with the sights, sounds, smells, tastes of India ...moreso Mangalore and Bangalore. While reading it, I was instantly transported into the mangalorean Roman catholic culture and landscape... and being a mangalorean catholic myself im not at all being biased here with my 5 star review! Along the way, I enjoyed a sensory feast of the Indian monsoons, the petrichor so well explained, whilst also virtually smelling the aroma of culinary delights emanating from the malnad kitchens. I highly recommend Monsoon Memories for anyone who appreciates Indian suspense /mystery fiction. I truly admire the author's effort at keeping the reader on the seats edge at every page turned!

Classic Indian Flavor
Anxiety, excitement, little suspense, emotions and native characters, places and food kept me busy reading on my long journey by train. I liked more the climax part which is very smartly arranged by inserting " Colossians 3:13 " I enjoyed reading it and waiting for the authors 2nd book "The Forgotten Daughter" to be delivered soon.

A good one
A fab debut...Nostalgia, family intrigue, and an adorable young detective - makes for a delightful, sentimental story. The memories and the descriptions did slow down the story in places, but they also made it all the more real and evocative.
