I really like this comb except for the fact that you cannot get it wet. I didn’t read the fine print and didn’t realize you cannot get it wet. So when I used it on my wet hair, the comb smelled like rotten eggs. Bummed because it’s a good quality comb and I really like it, but can’t tolerate the horrid rotten egg smell.

Have battled static in my long thin hair for years now. Kept thinking my hair was just dry, but hair dresser always comented on how healthy my hair is. Also, I kept getting extra moisturizing shampoo/conditioner and would just make my hair greasy. Finally read a blog on benefit of horn combs and that they can prevent static in hair. Thought it was worth a shot so got this one after all the rave reviews on it. Sure enough - static gone!! Love the smell of the wood and it comes beautifully packaged too. Got one for my sister as a gift too! The ONLY con I can say is that I wish it had a little wider teeth to make it better at tangle removal in wet hair. But, I've found as long as I use this when my hair is dry I still prevent the static.

Update 8/4/2017: After understanding in more detail how the buffalo horn teeth works and why it has a distinctive smell I am changing my rating of this comb. Keep in mind the form, fit and function of the comb is A-1. Also, the smell has started to fade after usage so I am now able to really enjoy this product. The smell is really only present on the buffalo horned teeth when the comb is wet. The sandalwood handle smells nice. Like I said the smell is starting to fade significantly since I posted my review. I also found out through further research that the smell is also a way of determining if you have a real buffalo horn tooth comb versus a fake one. So all in all I really love this comb and would definitely recommend to my friends but I would advise them to be patient and that the smell will fade.I like the construction of the comb, but the smell is very bad. It smells like something is burning. I have been trying to give it some time but the smell is not going away. The smell of this comb makes me sick to my stomach. I will be returning this comb this week for sure. Again, nicely constructed comb, but the smell is undesirable at best.

The comb is beautiful and I have 2 pictures of what you see before even opening. I was impressed that the company knows ,"you don't get a 2nd chance to make a 1st impression!" The size of the well made comb fitsperfect, it is sturdy, stylish & actually feels great combing through my hair as felt like a message! I read review so I write them lately... I bought this to helpStrengthen my thinning hair as I'm trying everything! I'll post another review after I've used it for a time but soFar I'm thrilled to own & it's perfect for a gift!!!

As a man that grew up in the 70's, I like to keep my hair a bit longer than most men ( not like when I was in Jr. High/ High School and it was down to my shoulders), so I like to carry a comb in my back pocket. I used to get the plastic "Goody" handle combs in various colors and I recently lost mine and went to Amazon to get a new one and found this comb which is really nice. The wood handle feels great in my hand and the Buffalo Horn comb tooth is supposed to be good for your hair. Best of all it fits in my back pocket.

Love this comb and company! Amazing service. I bought 3 of these. First I bought one for myself. I LOVED IT.. Ordered another for my grandmother and daughter. They loved them.Goes through knots like butter!!! I love combing my hair after a shower with this because it just combs out so easily with no pain.My daughters broke on first use.... However, I contacted the company and they sent a new one to replace it. They were so awesome to deal with and truly stand behind their product! No problems with the new one that was sent.The combs also arrive in a nice box with a cute note from the company. it is well packaged. I love this comb. It arrived inside a cotton drawstring bag nestled in it's own sturdy box.It would make a great gift for anyone.I purchased the larger toothed comb as a gift for my granddaughter who has thick, curly hair. It doesn't pull her hair, making combing her hair a pleasant experience rather than a chore for both of us.I'm going to purchase the thinner tooth comb for her sister with fine hair.Love these!..and I noticed no off putting smell at all.

This comb is absolutely beautiful. Solid feel to it and lightweight. The packaging had no issues or problems. The gift box that it came in was also a bonus. I have thick straight hair, but the comb runs through it with ease and no tangles or hair caught within the teeth of the comb. Will definitely order another one from here again.
