I am very happy with this shelf/coat rack with storage. Works perfectly in our small entryway. The chocolate collar is a very nice dark chocolate and was what I needed to match our bench. It arrived quickly and with no problems or damage.No assembly required. You just need to remove a piece from the back which will be attached to the wall and the shelf is placed onto it. So Easy! We only had one stud we could find to screw into, but then also used 3 additional screws into wall anchors. It is enough to hold weight and It’s solid. Some reviews mentioned it being very heavy. I was a little worried about that but it seemed like average weight to me. I was expecting much heavier based on what some reviewers said.I bought 3 baskets for the cubbies to minimize clutter and to hold misc items in. It looks good.I can recommend. Great piece for the price!!

This looks great in my entryway and is very sturdy. I've assigned a cubby to each of my kids to keep their hats and there's plenty of room for coats on the hooks. The best part is that it came pre-assembled and was very sturdy. Also, it was very easy to install - I was able to install this by myself. I think it's called a french cleat - you hang a pre-drilled wood strip on the wall, preferably into your studs, and then just hang the shelf onto the strip.

We were very pleasantly surprised that this coat rack and shelves is so solid and well-made. The heavy wood is nicely finish and looks like it will hold up for a long time. The installation instructions are clear and the steps are very simple to follow. Given the weight of these shelves, you should definitely attach the mount board to studs in your wall and should NOT use the provided screws and screw anchors. The hooks are good-looking and sturdy. I wish the overhead storage spaces were bigger but that's the design, eh? We are very pleased with our purchase.

This shelf is a good value for the price. Well made, quality mounting system, nice color. Color is not a bright white. It is a soft white with a faint tan undertone. It is a neutral color that blends in with many other colors. Be sure to mount it on studs in the wall because it is substantial. I wanted to use it for towel storage in my bathroom, but the shelves are too shallow for that purpose. However it would be just fine for hats, scarves, gloves, backpacks, etc., in the hallwall. And the mounting system ensures that the shelf won't be knocked off the wall (french cleat system). Instead, I will store bathroom sundries on these shelves in pretty baskets, thereby making room in my closet for towels. Really nice product. Don't hesistate. My husband, with me helping, installed it within about 40 minutes. Very logical installation, compared to others I've seen.

I kind of put it all there in the title. Basically, it's not high-end, but it still looks quite nice. Pairs with all my other pseudo-high-end "chocolate" furniture, including the side table near which it is mounted. It's very solid. Heavy, really.It has sufficient storage and hooks for a couple, maybe even a small family, but the unit is relatively shallow (about 2-3 inches shallower than I would like), so only so much will fit in the compartments/shelves, like rolled up scarves, gloves, and so on. I have a wicker basket on the top shelf, which extends further from the wall, along with a rolled blanket. The hooks are similarly shallow, but as long as you're only hanging scarves, coats with strong hanging hoops, and bags with good hanging hoops, you should be fine. Again, it's solid, too, so you don't worry at all about loading it up.You only mount this puppy once (well, hopefully), but it will be memorable. Again, it's heavy. I mounted it alone, but I would recommend another person help you, along with a sturdy step stool and appropriate tools. I had a stud-finder and a drill, which helped. However, the holes in the French cleat (love that this was the mounting approach, but) did not align with the studs. I had to drill my own hole in the cleat in order to optimally place the unit.Anyway, reading back over the reviews I read before I bought it, I have to say they were right, and my review pretty much comes across the same as theirs. At this price, it's nice enough, it requires no real 'assembly', and it's probably worth the trouble, even if it is a bit shallower than most of us would prefer.

The product is solid and looks great, but arrived damaged (and possibly repaired?) as if it had been used and returned. The box is in excellent condition and well-packed. The instructions have definitely been used and crumpled, but I don't mind a little recycling. The corner of the item is crushed and split and the paint is cracked and missing around the area. The top is scratched. I am happy to return it but am told the replacement will not come for 6 weeks. I can't wait that long.

would get more stars if it did not arrive damaged. but the corner that was chipped did prove it is solid wood. easy to install and great look. used it to finish out my wife's closet and made a great self and place for her to hang her stuff.

It's a lovely shelf, however, the manufacturers are not drying out the wood and when it does, the paint opens up and reveals spider-like cracks. I had to order a second as the first had a long crack along the top. The second had some crackling in less visible areas and so I kept it. Solidly made. Attractive.
