Nice. A bit expensive but okay

Helping me learn the basics of Spanish to complement other books I have.Would recommend to a beginner to buy.

Bought this to add to our Spanish curriculum in homeschool. I like the way it's organized systematically with most practical/ common phrases learned first. Though the book is easy enough for kids to understand on their own, I wouldn't say this is a book to buy for a child to self-study. It works well for us bc as the teacher, I go through each portion and I ask the questions and give the examples, then we do it together, but the 'activities' in this book are NOT exciting or really engaging at all. That would have to be extra on the parent's part. I would even say this book would be IDEAL for adults who have absolutely no experience with Spanish but want to learn. Everything is broken down into basics nicely but the content itself is not childish, meaning you're really learning all the pieces of the language both grammatically and conversationally, including the necessary vocab. The only downside to that is there is no audio portion, unless they offer something on their website.

Great help at Grammy's house as my grandson attends a bilingual Spanish school!!! Thanks Amazon for having these items. Spanish workbooks are hard to find in Canada.

As someone who has trouble learning languages, I enjoy this book. It has a nice progression of learning Spanish. The pronunciation of the alphabet was a bit tough but helpful nevertheless when continuing. It is helpful to have a section to refer to when I have trouble pronouncing words. The activities are more fun that just sitting down and reading long lists of vocabulary. Even though I am an adult, I still enjoy using this book!
