I don't know why they don't make frost proof sill cocks standard in all homes. I just bought a new house and it does not have frost proof sill cocks. I live in the southeast where there are no hard winters but we just had three days of record cold and there were many reports of water damage. I have replaced one and will be doing the rest with Eastman.

Did the job
I want to preface that I rarely leave reviews but I just want to say thank you because for some reason whoever built my house only used these 4" sill cocks and I spent way too long and spent way too much time trying to find one that would fit and this did the job. I installed in about 6 months ago and it has not leaked so I got that going for me.

I needed a small frost tap to fit a small space and this worked out well. No issues with the tap and works well. It's actually 5 inches to the thread end but this wasn't an issue for me.

Easy to install.
Works well. If the length matters, the tube is 8 inches long, the threaded end adds another inch.

Tap knob came broken
Taps seem to work fine. Rather then returning the tap I was able to purchase a new knob to replace the one that was broken.
