I recently ordered the Medium size ball for my Syrian hamster and it is the perfect size for him. I think it's really good quality and the door seems very secure ... no escapes as yet, anyway! I like that it's clear, so it's easy to see him inside when he's running about, and it's a great way for him to exercise and explore. I also found it's not as noisy on floor tiles as I expected it to be, which is a plus. The only time it's loud is when he bashes into things! It's easy to clean and overall I'd highly recommend it.

Good quality ball, the ball is clear so you can see your Hamster just fine. It comes with a stand and two lids for the ball. It’s easy for my Hamster to get in and out of. Pretty easy to close, sometimes it gets a little stuck when I try to open it but it always opens in the end. You need to make sure you close to lid properly if not the lid may fall off while your hamster is in it. This happened to me once but I was watching so I quickly put it back on. I got the medium size for my Syrian Hamster and he absolutely loves it! I usually let him run around for 10-15 minutes. I sometimes let him run around in it once or twice a day. The ball has pretty good ventilation, but you shouldn’t keep your hamster in it for no more then, 20-30 minutes because your hamster can dehydrate. Overall I think this hamster ball is really good and my Syrian Hamster loves it as well.

More specifically, my mouse does, charging around the flat like a lunatic. Have now got to the point where he walks from the cage to the ball and back again without issue. He does bash it about, so in due course I'll probably have to buy another one because eventually he won't be able to see out of it. It's robust enough the knocks don't hurt the plastic beyond mild scratches (just lots of them over time will do a number on it). It can be shut two ways, a short one for putting it on its frame and a long one when he's on the loose around the house. I did originally add some sellotape to make absolutely sure, but I haven't done that for a while and no issues -- it stays shut. Easy to clean with warm, soapy water once he's done ('cos BOY, can mice make a LOT of mess in a short time!). RecommendedEdited because my little Houdini chewed all around the door and escaped! Took me 9 hours to recapture the little so and so. Apparently, the plastic simply isn't strong enough for the really determined. I wish someone made one of these with metal on the door rim, but so far as I can see, no one does. I'm ordering a larger ball since he does need to exercise without straining his back, but from now on he's not going out of my sight! I suggest if you have a budding escape artist, check around the rotating door every time to make certain the ball remains secure and don't let them out of your sight for a minute!

I've bought two of these, one for each syrian hamster.- These hamster balls are the sturdiest and most secure I've found on the market. There is no escaping!- They are a good size for Syrians, their backs seem OK in them.- My hammy really enjoys using this and runs into the ball when I put it in her cage.- I also like that the ball is colourless, which I feel is better for their eyes.No cons, I would recommend this product to any hamster owner.

I read other reviews before I purchased this and it almost put me off as some said it was very flimsy, well, I think the actual ball is well made and doesn’t feel flimsy at all compared to others I have had. The opening compartment is a bit stiff and takes a bit of effort sometimes to get it open but I would rather have that than it coming open too easily. My hamster loves her ball. I have given 4 stars instead of 5 as it is the frame the ball attaches to that is a little disappointing because this is flimsy! The ball has to be light so the hamster can move easily but the stand can be made of much sterner stuff but it’s not. It is a bit weak and wobbly. I mainly bought the ball to use without the stand so it hasn’t affected my use too much but if your hammy likes to run on the spot then this may be a bigger issue for you.

Really pleased with this. It is clear and you can see your hamster. Easy for Charlie to get in and out of (I let him crawl into a cardboard kitchen roll tube then put the tube in the ball and he crawls out. Afterwards I just put the ball in the cage and take the lid off and he climbs out) The lid fits well, but make sure it is closed/slid into place properly as if it isn't and the ball bangs into something, the lid may pop off. This happened to us once but Charlie just sat there looking a bit surprised and scared, so we just popped it back on again. I think these are fine as long as the hamster is not in it for more than 15 to 20 minutes at a time. If they start rolling it at your feet it usually means they want to go back to their cage. Sometimes we let him in it twice in one night for 15 minutes or so, when he's having an active night, rather than leaving him in it for longer. Beware - some balls are too small. This has air holes and seems well made.

Best hamster ball I’ve found for my Syrian!! The ball itself is very well made not like the crappy ones from pets at home. The lid is a little awkward to get open but I’d rather have to fiddle knowing it’s very secure! Only thing I dislike is the stand it’s on. Very flimsy but can hold the ball in but I used my old pets at home stand as it was more sturdy. Little bigger then the average ball but very happy with this and for the price! Definitely get this made me feel lot more happier knowing the ball is a lot safer then the others out there.
