The handle will make your hand smell. I saw others had stated the same. At best this is a novelty item. I wouldn't depend on it. Took almost a month to arrive. No doubt it will sit in the back of my closet until I eventually toss it...

The product came fine, after closing the baton a few times the lock to keep it locked broke and it will not stay shut.

Overall it's a good weight and the grip was good, but it won't retract. Seemed like a good product. I wanted for protection when I walked my little dog.

For the price of this baton, it is actually not bad. The black paint comes off easily, revealing the steel underneath. I feel almost like I'm holding a light baseball bat for a weapon. In addition, it's got a good grip to it and a nice case. I expected I cheap breakable piece of junk, but I got a nice baton. The company who made this is called "Police Force Tactical."

Terrible quality. I gifted it to the ignorant.

I'm not sure why there are so many bad reviews on this product. It is solid and works well. You do need to work it a little bit at first until it starts deploying and retracting smoothly, but that's normal. The pouch is junk, but that wasn't a surprise.
